Freeze when selecting exit in main menu

I payed Episode 1 trouble free maxed out on my Mac Pro with Radeon 7950 running Yosemite.

I downloaded the patched version and Episode 2 isn't showing yet - hopefully it will appear eventually but in the meantime when I select exit in the main menu the game freezes on that screen and never quits. The mouse cursor is locked and I have to force quit using the keyboard (control, alt, escape - twice) to get back to the Finder.

  • Fixed this with the tip in the episode 2 download issue thread - removed the data from ~/Application Support/Telltale Games/Game Of Thrones

The update then worked and the game would exit normally. I then copied the old saves back.

  • FYI the exact same issue just happened with Episode 3.

I launched the game having read it was available but it only showed as coming soon is the episodes menu - then trying to quit from the main menu it froze and required a force quit.

I removed the "Game of Thrones" folder from ~/Library/Telltale Games/ and was then able to download both Episode 2 again and Episode 3. I then had to copy the saves back from the old folder I removed in order to continue.

My apologies, we are currently looking into an issue with the PC/Mac version of the game, and hope to have more information, or a resolution for the issue in the near future. Please note that if you experience issues by moving or altering any files, you should be able to resolve this issue by moving your backed up copy of the Game of Thrones folder back to the file directory, and delete the 'GameOfThrones_patch.mft' file from that Game of Thrones folder, then restart the game while connected to the internet, and Episode 3 should become available to download and play.
