  • Same problem for me except I have mine on PC. Also having checked back on Walking dead it no longer has sound despite the fact that it used to.

  • You can't be a happy customer with Telltale

  • Basically having the same problem here, just downloaded episode 2 on my xbox and after the first stage the sound other than the voice actors can be heard, fix this asap Telltale, I paid for a season's pass and can't play a game that I can't hear, thanks.

  • I don't know if I should make a new thread but I'm also experiencing intermittent sound loss. The subtitles will show and nothing will happen. Occasionally, the dialog will begin to play while the next dialog is already playing, several seconds later. I'm also experiencing a ton of stuttering, making the fight scenes basically unplayable. I'm playing on the 360 and didn't have a single issue with the first episode. This is incredibly disappointing, as I've been excited to continue this series. First time I've ever had serious issues with a Telltale game.

  • Yeah. No dialogue or sound effects. Can this be fixed sooner? I'd like to play the game I waited months for and paid for.

  • Yes SAME HERE! Got mine on xbox one and same issue, no dialogue audio. I wonder how long our money has to be held onto until we get our product. Feels like a pre-order right now

I apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. If you are experiencing issues with sound not playing in-game, can you please clarify if you have tried deleting and re-downloading the episode from the Xbox Marketplace? You may also need to Clear your System's Cache, then restart your console, and start the game again, and see if you are then able to hear in-game sound.

  • I've had the problem of not being able to hear most of the voice in both parts. Does that mean that I'll have to uninstall the game, part 1 and part 2? (Xbox One )

If you are experiencing audio issues on Xbox One, can you please clarify if you are currently using a 5.1 Surround Sound system, or standard Stereo (Left and Right speakers) to output sound? Also, could you please clarify if the voices stopped working after a particular part of the game, or does it go back and forth throughout the whole episode?

  • This isn't a consol issue this is a port issue, I bought the season pass on 360 cause I wanted to replay it with different choices and it was on sale so good excuse to play it through again and get new achievements. And it's so broken mid way through that often every other sentence doesn't have any audio. Because of the timing the end song didn't have any audio at all. I've played it on XB1 and the first two episode was totally broken because of the save bug. But the 360 version is really broken, not only audio problems but also lag issues and died several times just because the framedropped so I could see what I was suppose to do. Had to just guess wish buttons to hit hoping I would get it right, the game is clearly not meant to be played on 360, should atleast be able to have do something about the graphics, rather have less detail and have it run smoothly.

My apologies, we resolved this particular issue with an update that was released back after Episode 2 was released. Please make sure that you have started the game while connected to the internet so that you receive the latest update available for the Xbox 360 version of the game. After you have updated the game, restart the episode, and the hitching/lagging during the episode should be greatly lessened, if not completely resolved.

If the issue persists after updating the game to the latest version, I recommend try Clearing your System's Cache, then rewind to the chapter/checkpoint in the game before you started experience the issue.

  • I always play on my xbox connected online and I did download the update, and while Ep3 didn't have quite the same amount of problems I did have to quit the game and start at the latest checkpoints 5-6 times on ep4 cause I would have entire scenes without any dialogue sound at all.

Just glad it's not my main playthrough, sure the Xb1 still has the regular Telltale problem where almost everytime a scene is switching the game will freeze but atleast the entire game freezes so the game won't start until the game is done loading. But there should really be an option to lock the FPS at 30, and an option to downgrade the graphics would also be nice. I've seen Telltale games being played on vita, android and Ipads would rather the game look like that and run as smoothly is those ports are running.

  • I had the sound issue. I deleted the episode then re-downloaded. I cleared my cache. I loaded and played. The sound issue for the convo with FrostFinger was solved, but the very next cutscene with Rodrik froze and there was no dialogue. It jumped ahead. Also there were parts where dialogue overlapped.

Later, the screen froze when Gared was walking around. Also, my choices weren't being accepted and time was running out.

Another thing is that the edges of some characters are not just the usual blurry style. They are jagged and black.

So this suggestion doesn't work. I have the latest updates and am still having all the same issues.

I apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. If you are experiencing issues with sound not playing in-game, can you please clarify
