Help - can't walk and shoot at the same time!
I can't get pass Episode 4 because i simply can't press s and shoot at the same time. when trying to back up the stairs while shooting walkers as I can't back up and shoot at the same time and every time I do shoot, it takes too long for it to actually let me shoot again.
I've already tried lowering the graphics, resolution and shadows to no avail. I literally cannot get passed this part of the game because of this and I would rather not have any frustration induced rage fits at my laptop, so any help in getting around this would be much appreciated. I would like to get back to the story please.
Tried both restarting the game and the pc and it's the same problem. Either i shoot or walk. I manage to kill the first 2, with a bit of effort i get a third one by going back stoping and shooting, but that's it.
btw...support tool.

Thread: Laggy Mouse in Episode 4 when going up staircase?
Okay, I'm not sure if having this game on Steam has anything to do with this, but every time I try to walk up the stairs with the shotgun to escape the walkers, I can only move the mouse when I am standing still. And when I move Lee and try to use the mouse at the same time, Lee does move, just not the mouse. I also keep dying constantly on that part, and when I play it on the PS3, it is really easy to complete. I have this on a Toshiba, Windows 8. PLEASE HELP!
I BEAT IT! WOO HOO FOR A LAGGY COMPUTER!
anyone? @TelltaleMike ?
I apologize for the inconvenience. I recommend watching a video walkthrough on how another player was able to play through that particular part in the episode, and see if you are able to follow their steps to successfully progress to the next scene. Try watching this walkthrough video at around the 4:25 mark in the video, and you should be able to follow their steps to complete this particular part of the episode. This Walkthrough Video
OMG! I have had this issue for weeks and it's been driving me crazy to the point where I had to uninstall the game without finishing to save throwing my laptop out the window. I've tried and all my friends had tried and none of us can do it on my laptop (Thinkpad) Any tips as to how you solved the problem? It's put me off telltale games completely
I have exactly this same problem and assumed it was down to keyboard ghosting - I'm using a laptop and windows 8.1. I've tried to follow the video step by step but never get past the third walker I love this game so much but cannot progress and don't want to buy any more telltale stuff in case the quicktime events don't work.
My apologies, can you please clarify if you are currently using a USB mouse, or the touchpad on your laptop in order to complete the Quick-Time Events? If you are using the touchpad, I recommend try plugging in a USB mouse, and you should find those particular points in that scene easier to complete.
@formerhermit Please try using the video walkthrough I've posted below, and fast forward to the 4:25 mark in the video, and try following the exact steps in the video. If you are using a laptop, please also try using a wireless USB mouse, and see if that makes the QTE easier to complete.
OMG, I'm having this exact same problem. Everything to the slightest detail is the same. Same laptop and everything. I'm just going to have to use a USB mouse. I'll let you know if anything changes.
I figured out how to beat the glitch, without using a USB mouse. Basically, what you have to do, is slightly scoot back a little after you shoot the gun, each time. So it goes like this: shoot walker, scoot back a tiny bit. Then repeat. Eventually, you'll be able to do it. It works, because by the time the lag of the game not letting you shoot after you scoot back, you'll be just finishing reloading the gun.
Oh yeah, I forgot. It goes like this: shoot walker, scoot back a tiny bit while reloading the gun. But just for a second. I just figured I may not have been clear enough. Then, by the time the glitch/lag is over, you'll also be done reloading the gun, and you can shoot the walker.
Thank you for providing the extra information on how you were able to resolve your issue. I hope you are now able to enjoy the game!
