Will TWD S2 read the save files from TWD S1 if S1 is on Steam?

I bought TWD S2 from an online store, which I wrongly assumed to be a Steam key, and when I got it, I had to register here to access the download for it. Will my Season 2 that I have from here read the save files I have from Season 1, which I played through Steam? I tried to search but it seems very hit and miss as I got every other game in the search APART FROM The Walking Dead Season 2,

    Never mind. I read everything I could do on Google with no definitive answer. I started the game up, pressed PLAY and it found and read the save files from the 1st game, which was bought and played through Steam.

    So, if anybody else is curious, YES, the TellTale Games version that you get/redeem through this site WILL read the save files from the Steam version of the Season 1 game
