episode 4 not loading

A wolf among us episode 4 just refuses to load up and keeps booting me to the home screen. 1 2 and 3 all work fine, I've tried uninstalling, clear data, force stop, all to no avail. It's really frustrating!

I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify what Android/Kindle device you are currently playing on, and what OS version it is currently updated to? After I receive this information, I will be able to assist you further.

  • I'm using kindle fire hd7(4th gen), which is fully up to date

  • It's fire OS 4.5.3

Thank you for providing the extra information. Have you tried deleting and re-downloading just Episode 4 in-game from the Manage Downloads menu inside the Settings menu, and then retry starting the episode?

  • Tried that, still nothing. The loading symbol starts, freezes then it just takes me back to my home screen.

  • I have the same problem, it just freezes after loading for some seconds and it takes me back to my kindle home screen and no matter how many times I re download it just doesn't work.

Can you please clarify if you have made sure the game application is updated to the latest version? Also, have you tried connecting to a different WiFi network to download the episode, and see if you are then able to start the episode successfully.

  • Everything is up to date, and tried using 2 different WiFi networks. Still doing it.

Unfortunately it appears that you have already tried all of my potential solutions to get the Episode running. Are you currently running any third-party ROMs, or mods on your Kindle device? If so, I recommend try closing/disabling them, and then start the game and try playing Episode 4 again. If you do not have anything like that installed/running on your device, I recommend contacting Google Play Support, and see if they have any other suggestions to ensure you are getting the optimal performance on your device while running the game app.
