Another game breaking issue

Hello there, I don't know if this has been mentioned on a previous discussion but I have an issue with the games saving system. Everything was working perfect up till episode 4 getting the battery chapter and now when I progress this game it will not only not save the game, it would delete itself! I have 2 save slots at the same area in slots 1 and 2, so fortunately I can 'copy' from one to the other when it did this so I don't lose my save file, but it will not copy into save slot 3 for some strange reason. But I cannot continue my game until there is a workaround for the game not saving when it says that it did. Iv tried rewinding but still deletes itself at every area. I do not want to start all over again as this is the 3rd time I have bought this game (360,iPad,ps4) and had played many times but never had this or any other issue on those other platforms.
I would appreciate some advice on this matter , or if there is a patch/update in the works for this. Thank you.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you are able to successfully progress in the game in Save Slots 1 and 2, and it is only slot 3 that you are experiencing this issue with? Or, does the game not save after a certain point in all of the save slots? Also, when you say that the saves become deleted, is it only when you are attempting to rewind, or is it also after you close/exit out of the game, then attempt to load the game again?

  • I am not able to progress in slots 1 or 2, I played it again earlier to the end of episode 4 on both slots and when It ends and I return to it to begin episode 5 there is no save, just says 'new game' . Slot 3 I am not able to copy any slot over to it at all, it's basically start a new game on that slot or nothing. Rewinding to an earlier chapter in both slots to the end does not change how it basically deletes the game and says 'new game' by the end on that slot and never saved progress, even though in game it gives me the game save icon.i have not quit to corrupt any save so I have no idea why this issue is occurring and what to do about it.

When you were playing through the game, did you play through multiple episodes in one sitting, or in smaller increments/chunks? We have had reports from players affected by this, that when playing in smaller increments (one episode at a time) then exiting the game and resetting their console, and reopening the game, that they were able to progress without this issue occurring for them.

  • Played through in small increments, (roughly half episode per sitting (wish I had the time!)) Iv tried resetting the console and reopening the game, deleting the game then re downloading it, making sure everything is up to date, even putting it to cloud storage then back to system storage, just nothing seems to work it's just not saving my progress and instead deleting the entire game. I don't think there is currently anything I can do more on a gamers side to continue these save files which is very disappointing as I have put many hours into this. Is there any other advice you could give me, or see if there will be a fix in the near future?

    Thanks.

My apologies, unfortunately I am out of potential solutions to resolve the issue. Please note that we are currently looking into the root cause of the issue, and hope to have more information soon.
