Stuck moving bug

I think this is a new one.

After each interaction, when it cuts back to movement mode, I'm stuck moving permanently to the left. Holding down the "A" key seems to unstick me after a while, but aside from being really annoying its screwing up the quick time events.

I've checked and it doesn't seem to be a keyboard error. There's no 'sticky keys' like issue outside the game itself. The keyboard buffer seems to be working just fine. I don't have a controller plugged in or anything similar.

Any help much appreciated, as the game is currently broken for me.
