“Hello?” Rhys called out. He looked at the driver’s seat and saw no one. He got up, went to the door, opened it and s… moreaw no one.
“Hello? Anybody?” There was a slightly desperate edge to his voice, but he refused to let it get to him.
“Vaughn?! Sasha?!” The desperation was growing stronger by the minute. He stepped out of the caravan, walking quickly to where their campfire had been last night. It had stopped burning long ago. He looked around. Deserted wasteland as far as the eyes could see. No trees, no shade.
They had gone for water, he was sure of it. He looked back at the caravan, hoping to at least see Loader Bot and Gortys on top, chatting away. He wouldn’t even mind if they criticised his clothing.
Nothing.
“LB?! GORTYS?!” There was no denying it now, he was truly terrified. Entering the caravan at a run, he suddenly remembered his earpiece. Putting it on frantically, he whispered:

Anyways, I have work in 30 minutes till 11pm... And tomorrow is my disciplinary hearing at 2:15pm. I'm really nervous, I have no idea if I'm just gonna get some kind of warning or get fired.
I don't think I'll be fired for some reason, I didn't do anything extreme or terrible, so I was late by 5 minutes on a number of occasions and I took 1 unauthorized break during work. I still do my job and get on well with other members of staff!
