Fiona and Sasha have never been around water hence why they never learned to swim
Rhys, probably learned to swim via an online course.....so he doesn't actually know how but thinks he does. But I also like to think there's probably gyms and pools on Helios that he used so maybe not. But then, what if his arm isn't water proof so he electrocutes himself?

Fiona and Sasha may be tough Pandoran chicks with a lot of street smarts...but Pandora is mostly a desert. Especially the area where they live. Yeah, there are lakes in the Highlands, but I doubt they would have been there.
I wouldn't want to swim in thresher-infested water, either.
I think Rhys would more likely know how to swim, but he may have learned when he was a kid and all those years of working in a cubicle have taken their toll.
Also, his arm's gotta be waterproof or something...
