Animated season dvd question!

The dvd is region free (right?) but will it play over in the U.k on Pal tv's? Im imagining that Amercia uses Ntsc? If it won't work on my dvd or tv will it play on my laptop? Any help would be great and anyway I could play the dvds would be great!

    It doesn't matter for computers (they can play either), but most DVD players nowadays can convert between PAL and NTSC anyway...just make sure yours can.

    As long as you have a newish television I think you'll be fine. My understanding is that NTSC TVs usually can't display PAL stuff, but PAL DVDs can display NTSC. I can't vouch for the animated series DVD specifically but our Collector's DVDs are also region free NTSC and I can't remember ever hearing of a European customer having trouble viewing those.

    Nonmelodic, you'll need to have a DVD player and TV that can play NTSC discs, but yes, it is region free.

    The majority of TVs and DVD players sold in Australia in the last 5-10 years have been able to handle both. Heck, my 12 year old VCR can handle NTSC and PAL.

    Most DVD players made in the 2000s can resample PAL DVDs to NTSC and the other way around. I know many people in the Telltale offices watch PAL DVDs at home (mostly from the UK), and many friends of mine in the UK import NTSC region 0 DVDs and watch them with no problem, so I imagine you'll be okay unless you have an archaic DVD player.

    If you're using an RGB connection, you only need a TV supporting 60 fields per second, which are most sets since the 90's when NTSC support was still rare in Europe.

    DVD player's built in norm converters are generally of poor quality. Decent standalone converters cost thousands of dollars for a reason. Still, this might be useful for old TV sets.
