I can't download the 3rd episode
So I heard it's already out for people who bought it here, but my game still says "Coming soon!"
The same happened with the second episode or with some episodes of TWD:S2. I don't want to reinstall the game everytime a new episode is out, god dammit. What else can I do?
Possible solution that fixed the problem for me:
Author: @TelltaleMike
We are still actively looking into the root cause of the issue, and hope to have more information in the near future. For a possible workaround in the meantime, you should be able to resolve this issue by deleting the 'GameOfThrones_patch.mft' file from your 'Game of Thrones' folder located here:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\Game of Thrones\
or if on Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/ Telltale Games/Game of Thrones/
(Your Library folder is sometimes hidden, to make it visible, please open a Finder window, and at the top of the screen, click Go and hold down the Option key. The Library will now become available in the drop down menu. Click that and follow the above file path, and delete the file specified above.)
Then restart the game, and Episode 3 should become available to download in-game.
Thank you!

I seem to remember a similar problem happening before, to try and fix it temporally move your Game of Throne save folder from it's directory "C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\telltale games\Game of Thrones" and then try downloading the episode again. Once it has downloaded quit the game and move the files back to the directory and it should hopefully work.
If that doesn't work you might need to wait for Telltale support to help once they get to work.
Thanks for trying to help, but it doesn't work. I moved the game files out of my default folder, but it still says "Coming soon." I can't even download it.
EDIT: Oh, you were talking about the save folder! I'm gonna try it again...
EDIT 2: Okay, I moved the save files out and now am downloading the third episode. I hope it'll work after I move the saves back.
I moved this to the support forum, hopefully @TelltaleMike will be able to help.
I'm glad to see it has helped, enjoy the game
Ozzy, I even tried that but it still says Episode 3 is "Coming soon." I really don't know what to do because I've been trying for about 3 hours now.
Sadly, when I moved the files back, the episode got deleted and I can't download it again. I just realised that the whole episodes are stored in the saves. Looks like I'll have to reinstall the whole game...
The only thing i can suggest is waiting for @TelltaleMike to help.
That's annoying, maybe try copying only the files within the folder but not copying the subfolders within the main folder.
That doesn't work. I deleted all content off my computer and still couldn't download the update after reinstalling it.
Thanks for posting about this. We're starting to look into it.

If you are currently unable to download Episode 3 in the Telltale Games version of the game from our website, as @caryl stated, we are currently looking into the issue. Please note that you should NOT need to move or alter your save file directories in order to download the episode successfully. Doing so may cause save files to not be able to be read after placing them back into the file directory. When I have any new information, I will make sure to update this thread!
Well fuck. wish I had saw this, I dont have a my choices tab anymore.
@Olski Can you please clarify if you are playing the Telltale Games version, or the Steam version of the game? Any extra information you can provide could help in resolving your issue. Also, if you are still experiencing the issue, could you possibly take screenshots of the contents of your 'Net' folder inside your 'Game of Thrones' folder, as well as the contents of your 'Game of Thrones' folder? If you can take screenshots, could you please upload the screenshots to a file hosting website, then copy and paste the download links to those screenshots in a Personal Message to me? (To send a Private Message, click on a Username, and click on Private Discussion on the left hand side of the page.)
Can you please clarify if when you moved/altered your files, did you move the entire 'Game of Thrones' folder, or only individual files within the folder?
I took the entire folder and placed it on my desktop. Then I launched the game and nothing changed, so I put I tried to put it back. but the file I had moved was still in the "telltale games" folder. so I just merged the two. Also, in the game when I look at my "change save file" the save file I always play on is still their, with a picture of mira holding the knife. It also gives me a choice to rewind the previous episodes.
This is my folder now if it helps

and the net folder is empty
Do you possibly remember which files were merged? Did you happen to overwrite your old prefs.prop file (preferences file) with the new one that was created when you started the game without your save files in the directory?
No I don't, it was 11 files though, and i just clicked merge thinking it'd do noharm.
Not OP but I have the same issue on OSX playing the Telltale version.
My sincere apologies, unfortunately if you overwrote/merged the two folders together, this may cause the saves to no longer work.
It's fine. I just deleted the save and decided to start a new game and replay from ep1. thx
For those of you still experiencing the issue, could you possibly take screenshots of the contents of your 'Net' folder inside your 'Game of Thrones' folder located in:
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\Game of Thrones\
as well as the contents of your 'Game of Thrones' folder in the same file directory? If you can take screenshots, please upload the screenshots to a file hosting website, then copy and paste the download links to those screenshots in a Personal Message to me? (To send a Private Message, click on a Username, and click on Private Discussion on the left hand side of the page.)
I just sent you download links to my screenshots in a Personal Message. I hope they help! Thanks!
Thread: Can't download Episode 3 for Mac
Bought the season pass and Episode 3 is still showing up as "Coming Soon". I'm connected to the internet and it seems to be updating. I'm on a Mac and the release date should be March 24th. Can anyone help?
There's another discussion already started for this issue. Telltale games has written in it that they are aware of the problem and are currently working to fix it. You'll probably have a better chance of being updated on the issue in that discussion, since Telltale has already responded to it. Here's the link to that discussion and I hope this helps!

Last night, around 11:30 EST I was able to download Episode 3! It took about 15 minutes to download, but it still worked. The transitions between scenes were also slow, but I think that's just from my old computer, not the game itself. I've only played about 45 minutes and have yet to see how the rest of the Episode runs. Just thought I should let this discussion know, since it may now be working for you now, as well. Thanks, Teltale, for fixing it!
Mine still says coming soon. Did you do anything to game files?
Still no luck on Mac Version OSx 10.9.5
Every single time. You'd think they'd be pros at releasing these eps for Mac by now!
I wonder if they have to fix it for every version. I have OSX 10.10.2.
You all guys have Macs? Am I the only one who encountered this on Windows?
No, I did nothing. I just waited and tried again, and surprisingly saw that it was ready for download. I did send screenshots of certain files that were asked for above. Maybe that helped??
Others are having this on Windows too. Send a screenshot of your save folder to @TelltaleMike as explained above.
I already sent it. Still waiting for an answer.
Oh, they cannot do this on win either. Since the walking dead the telltale downloads always made problems. Never had problems when I could download the episodes separately from my account. After the new "download while in game" did not really work telltale decided to do it again (The Wolf Among Us), again (TWD S2) and again (GoT) - it never really worked. When will they ever learn? Game still shows "coming soon". But at löeast I can enter the game - something which wasn't possible with Wolf Among Us for several days. I am able to download Ep. 3 after renaming the savefile/additional episodes folder completely. But until now it was not possible for me to get my choices back and if I copy the files back to my original game it again shows "coming soon" - aaargh!
I believe the culprit is the lack of "GameOfThrones103.mft".
I downloaded episode 3 on a fresh install to test. I copied the GameOfThrones103.mft to my regular folder and it works perfectly.
Thank you all for providing the extra information via Personal Message. I have forwarded the information along to the team for further investigation, and hope to have more information, or an update on the situation, in the near future.
I finally managed to do it.
1) I renamed my safefile folder and startet the game.
2) With the now running game I could download Episode 3 and activate it.
3) After this I quit the game and copied the complete NET folder from my old NET folder to the new one.
4) After that I copied the files GameOfThrones102.mft and IN_GameOfThrones_patch and prefs.prop into the new savefile folder.
5) When I now started the game all the episode were installed but no choices and no savefiles. To fix this I copied all files with the name "save" in it from the old folder into the new one BUT(!) not a single file with the name "cloud" in it. I tried it very often and everytime I copied a cloud file Ep3 was again "coming soon". After restarting the game everything was back - even the choices.
Since with this procedure the original savefile folder remains untouched it is save to test it. The key to success for me was not to touch the "cloud" files. Everything else was logical.
We are still actively looking into the root cause of the issue, and hope to have more information in the near future. For a possible workaround in the meantime, you should be able to resolve this issue by deleting the 'GameOfThrones_patch.mft' file from your 'Game of Thrones' folder located here:

Then restart the game, and Episode 3 should become available to download in-game.
Hi so I have a Mac Version 10.10.2 and I cannot find the files you are talking about in this path. My game of thrones game is located in my apps folder. I opened up the contents folder. Is that what you want a screen shot of?
This worked! Thank you! @TelltaleMike
