I brought the Handsome collection for ps4 and have made and used a shift account on both games. now recently I also purchaced the telltale game collection (which includes tales from the borderlands season pass) on ps4. the PSstore realises I have the season pass, though the season pass isnt in my addons section on xbm(shows up in ps services list though) but game still shows the option to buy in extras menu which if i click buy it goes to the ps market place where it says i already own it. anyway, I have started both games havent got the rewards for owning telltale season pass in borderlands tps

Is this a problem that just randomly resolves itself or is there anything more I should do?
I have a valid shift account and have already redeemed 3 codes on it so I know it works.
Just like the one who posted this originally I'm not credited as having the season pass because I bought the bundle even though I know I'll be getting the rest of the episodes later.
And just like him I don't have the rewards either, is there anything more I can do?

My apologies, please note that if you have purchased the Telltale Collection Bundle, your Xbox Live account owns the Season Pass of Tales Fr… moreom The Borderlands regardless of the in-game messaging. Can you please clarify if you have created a Shift account needed to unlock the items? Also, have you started both games (Tales From The Borderlands and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel), and made sure that both of them are updated to the latest version?
The Season Pass should be tied to your account, and as long as you were able to download Episode 2 for free after it released, you do in fact own the Season Pass regardless of the messaging in the Extras page. As long as you have started both games (Tales From The Borderlands and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel) while connected to the internet to ensure they are both tied to your account, and to make sure they are both updated to the latest version, you should be eligible to receive the exclusive loot/unlocks in your SHiFT account. If you still do not see the unlocks in your SHiFT account, please make sure that you have met all of the requirements inside the Exclusive Loot Now Available Thread. If you meet the requirements and still have not received your unlocks, you should then contact Gearbox Support directly for further assistance with this particular issue.

My apologies, can you please clarify if you purchased Episode 1, then the Season Pass, or the Complete Season (Episodes 1-5) from the Xbox Marketplace? Have you tried opening the Episodes menu in-game, then downloading Episode 2 from there? If so, and it does not work, please also try going to the Xbox Marketplace on your console and do a search for 'Tales From The Borderlands'. Episode 2 should then show up in your search results, and allow you to download it from there if you have already purchased it.
Lastly, you can also do that same search through the Xbox Marketplace Website and then search for the episode there, and choose to download it remotely to your Xbox directly from the website.
Update: We have contacted Microsoft, and they have updated the Bundle to include the second Episode. You should now be able to start the game, and download and install the episode all from within the in-game Episodes menu. My apologies for the inconvenience, and I hope you enjoy the episode!
I don't know if this necessitates and update to the OP, but I'm on a Mac, and I recently got the TPS unlocks. Is this...true for everyone else on a Mac? Didn't see if this was mentioned in the update notes (noticed I got them a week or so ago, and I know TPS had a recent update).
Just making sure this wasn't some favorable glitch, and those with Macs (and updated TPS games with all requirements met) should see their rewards in the quick change station?

Same here, I triple checked everything and it still didn't work. In the end the unlocks randomly appeared 2 days after they were made availa… moreble but in-game, the Tales from the Borderlands still says I don't have the Season Pass and just errors when I try to use the "Buy" options in the various menus. I don't know what the problem is but this is a serious, gamebreaking bug that needs fixing ASAP along with the many other technical problems this game has.

If you are playing the Mac versions of both games, unfortunately the Exclusive Unlocks/Loot can only be unlocked on the PC Steam version of the game.
