I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We have made a server side fix for this issue on PC/Mac. Please close/exit out of the game completely, then also make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest Updated Critical PC/Mac Patch available for the game. After it has been installed, then start the game again, and you should be able to start the game successfully, and download the new episode and play the game.
If your save files are missing, can you please clarify if you ever moved or altered your 'Game of Thrones' folder in your game's directory?

Looks like I am lumped in with the rest of the folks that have posted here lately.... I've just lost all of my saves. The game has proven to be unstable, and now all of my progress is gone. I just got the game today off of GOG after being hesitant to buy another Telltale game after your Walking Dead fiasco, I should have known better.
Anyhow, just a heads up for you guys/gals to fix your game.

Unfortunately at this time the game does not support Steam Cloud saving, and your save files were stored within the game's file directory. If you were ever to uninstall the game from your computer, your save files would have been lost in the process and you will need to start a new game. I reboot, relaunch the game and find out that I could not continue the game. If I choose the episode 4, the game tells me
that previous choices would be randomized, but in the recap sequence the choices were all mine.
Anyway, each time I play, the game does not save and I have to start the fourth episode again and again,
and if I die ('Valar Morghulis screen') the screen remains black and I can't do anything.
I made a back up of my save files and reinstalled the game, nothing changed.
I installed the game on another computer and added the files, same. I think that my file may be corrupted.

If you are playing the Steam version of the game, please make sure that Steam has downloaded and installed the critical update necessary for… more playing Episode 2, and the game should update and you will be able to see your save files in-game. After the update download, you may need to restart Steam and/or restart your computer for the update to take effect.
