Keep getting message "patch required..." etc etc
I used to launch this game from mac game store, and when i last opened it, it gave me the following message: patch required, please go to http://tth.io/ etc etc message, so i downloaded the patch (multiple times, as it came down corrupted a few times or died halfway through the download) and finally after seeking a better faster download speed, i have the dmg file, have run it, dragged it into applications and then run it, and lo and behold, i get the same patch required message. I have deleted the application file, run the dmg file again and yet still i get that error. I can cancel past the error, but then i still only have episode 1, the others still say no available yet.
In fact I have even gone directly to the telltale site and downloaded the game directly from the my games page and the same thing happens. its like i'm going in a loop...
please help, i have waiting so long to play the next episodes... (

Same issue here, can't figure out how to fix it.
Yeah, I am having the same issue as well. Even when I replace the original file with the patch download file, I keep getting the message that the page needs to be installed...
I wonder if this is something recent since the 3 of us have had this issue on the same day, and there doesn't seem to be any history of it in the community support pages. TELLTALEMIKE, WE NEED YOUUUUU!!!!!
Same here, and it just keeps downloading the whole game all over again and again and doesn't instal the patch with it..
Still can't apply the patch and play episode 2..
My apologies for the delayed response. We have had reports from Mac users experiencing this issue, and have passed the info along to the team for further investigation. We are looking into the issue, and I hope to have more information in the near future.
Same problem here. I have had previous issues with the corrupted patch download and now that it finally works this happens?
It has now been over a month i have patiently waited and tried to fix the problem with no luck and I still haven't been able to try episode 2 yet.
I'm using a mac and I'm really not happy I want a refund!!!
I apologize for any difficulties caused by this. Please know we are currently working on resolving the issue, and I will make sure to update this thread when I have word that the issue is fixed.

!! I finally got it to work !!
I uninstalled the game and deleted the game out of my applications folder, deleted all the game files in my library folder, deleted all downloaded data. then i cleared my cache/cookies, logged out of the website and restarted my macbook. then i downloaded the patch ONLY and when I launched the patch it installed the game with the patch so now I can download and play episode 2. This worked for me hopefully it works for someone else before they give up & ask for a refund. I was about to do that & I'm glad I didn't
Perfect, worked for me, thanks for figuring this out!
Hey guys, do you delete your game files from the library? Not too sure where to find them..
Thanks
What I did was move the entire folder to my desktop, follow Miss_JackieShann's instructions, and then move all the files from the desktop folder into the new folder that's in the library without replacing the duplicate files.
Thanks L-Ven, I was just wondering where the game files are stored so I can go straight to that folder.
Which folder are u talking about guys? Can't get it to work.
It's the library folder. Open a finder window, at the top select "Go". Press and hold the option button and library should show up in the list.
library -->application support ---> telltale games ---> tales from the borderlands (delete this folder)
library ---> preferences (delete all files that start with com.telltale)
if you don't want to delete your saved game data you could try skipping this step. if it doesn't work still i imagine you could save the data on a flash drive and move it back... idk if this works tho i just deleted my save data cause its only one episode anyways.
We updated the Critical Mac Patch over the weekend, and this new version should resolve this particular issue. Please make sure to download the newly updated Mac Patch Here and install it. This should resolve the 'Patch Required' loop, and allow you to start the game successfully!
