Poem/Thanks to the MI team
Wrote this quickly for my LJ, but thought I'd share it here too. Written in under five minutes, but it captures my thoughts (aka, blabbering, excited state of being after I discovered the new game).
Telltale Games, you make me smile
At friends I haven't seen in awhile.
You made me thrill at Sam and Max.
And just when I think you've gone lax
In your efforts to bring the past
Back to the future at last
You give me a pirate with no skills
Bungling his way through odds and ills.
With swashbuckling smart-mouthed retorts
(And even odder locations and resorts)
Threepwood and Marley again appear
To humor my imagination and fear
And puzzle my brain, and challenge me once again
To find out:
WHAT THE HELL'S THE SECRET OF MONKEY ISLAND?!?
(If Ron Gilbert happens to be listening,
Please reveal it to me! I won't share with my friends!
Or family or coworkers or anybody!
It's been bugging me since 1990!)
