Black Screen after starting GoT on PC

I start up GoT on my PC which is far too capable to handle the game and as soon as I hit click to begin, the game comes to a loading screen and stays at a black screen. I don't know what to do.

    Ok so I redownloaded the game of thrones file from telltale and renamed the original game of thrones file. I started the new file up and the game finally got past the black screen.

    I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We have made a server side fix for this issue on PC/Mac. Please close/exit out of the game completely, then also make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest Updated Critical PC/Mac Patch available for the game. After it has been installed, then start the game again, and you should be able to start the game successfully, and download the new episode and play the game.
