PS3 Wolf Among Us freezes directly when trying to start an episode
Hello!
I have purchased the season pass for The Wolf Among Us on PS3, the first time I bought a Telltale Game on a console as opposed to on the PC. Alack and alas, the game always crashes my PS3 right when I try to start an episode.
I tried deleting everything (including saves) and re-downloading the whole season, but to no avail. My internet connection is fiber, so no issues there. I also tried tinkering with the options, to no avail. Finally, I updated the episodes separately and tried without all installed - no chance. It's always the same - I start the game, I select an episode and upon loading, the swirly pink thing becomes stuck and that's it - waiting does not resolve the issue, not disconnecting the internet after the game's validation in the main menu. I have more than 300 GB HD-space left, so that's not the issue either. So yeah, tried all fixes/workarounds posted here on the boards.
Please do not just tell me to try again - I've tried all of these procedures 3 times by now and made sure my system is up to date. It has been frustrating, to say the least.
I sincerely hope that someone can help me resolve this issue -had I bought this on PC, as I did Sam and Max Season 1-3, Monkey Island, Puzzle Agent and TWD Season I and II, I could tinker with the game files, but on the PS3, I'm pretty much relying on you people helping out.
All the best!

I apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused you. If you are experiencing freezing when attempting to start an episode, it may be due to an incomplete or corrupted download file of the episode. If you have already tried deleting and re-downloading the episode again, please also try Restoring your PS3's File System and see if you are then able to start the game without experiencing a freeze. (Please make sure to read over the notes in the above page explaining that this process does not delete any games or content, but messages/custom music playlists may be reverted back to their original state.)
I had already tried the file system, to no avail, but restoring the database seems to have fixed the problem! Thank you SO MUCH for your quick and friendly help!
You're welcome, thank you for providing the extra information on how you were able to resolve your issue. I hope you are now able to enjoy the game!
