Please Post all Guess's in Pacific time zone: UTC/GMT -8 hours.
Reason being is that is were Telltale is at.

My Guess.
My way of thinking is that Telltale wants to get the game to our British Pirates today as promised (Sorry Aussies).
So taking into account for British Summer Time.
(British Summer Time is a strange time warping effect that happens over England. I have looked into it and have come to the conclusion it has something to do with something called a Tardis and a person known as The Doctor. I tried to look into it more but I keep getting this thing saying Tourchwood Classified. There is another theory of what British Summer Time is link to follow.)

I am thinking from 13:00 Standard Time would be about the latest they will release it being that for the British gamers it would be 9 at night and still respectably the 7th.
Now that was thinking the latest they would come out with it today.
The earliest would be 6 AM Standard Time. But it would be more realisitc if it was 9 AM Standard Time. Both of these times work out great for Europe and not just England with their "The Doctor" Summer time thing.
So split the difference and Boom!
My Guess is 7:30 AM Standard Time.

So my guess is 9:15AM
They don't count! (sorry)
Serves them right for living in the future and never once giving me the Winning Lotto Numbers.
I would have thought the sensible thing to do would be to release it at 00:01 UTC today so that everywhere in the world will get a chance to download on the actual release date.
Feel sorry for NZ and Oz and probs Japan too if there's been folk up all day waitin to download this.
That makes no sense (maybe its just the way you worded it) How can "Standard Time" be GMT-8 hours?
Standard Time IS UTC/GMT
If you're talking about Pacific Time, then that would be GMT/UTC-7 hours, or BST (British Summer Time)-8 Hours
So, your guess should be in Pacific Time, if that's the timezone telltale are in. But its 7 hours behind stadard time, not 8.
My guess is 10am Pacific/5pm Standard/6pm BST
Cause I've preoredered but I can't download it now.
No, UTC is BST-1hr, or GMT. So 1pm in Scotland = 12pm UTC
But why would telltale work on UTC if they're based on the West Coast of the US? Its currently 5:15am over there, so you were right about the time, just not the zone
I assumed they would release it at 12:01AM 7 July in each timezone so as to ease the load on the servers, that way they can let it out bit by bit and any technical questions could be handled over a larger period of time. By dropping the game throughout the world at the same time the servers will take a hit and if there are any bugs they will get a huge amount of complaints all at the same time.
They are based in California, so it will be another few hours.
My Bad it is fixed now. teehee
How would that work? Example 00:01 UTC 7th July =
17:01 Western US 6th July
20:01 Eastern US 6th July
01:01 UK 7th July
10:01 Queenstown, AUS 7th July
So everyone West of Greenwich would get it on the 6th, and everyone East would get in on the 7th
Anyway who cares, I'm just eager to play it
i will, unfortunately, have to play tomorrow.
According to this we have at least another 3-5 hours of waiting. It's 5 am in California now.
Sorry Largo was a bit confused there, thought UTC was the acronym for western US time.... dunno what it would stand for though!
Hmm godd point by Thespis, I suppose wanting to be at work incase of support issues is a good reason.... what am I saying, this is MONKEY ISLAND! They should have stayed at work all night!:p
No worries, it stands for Universally Coordinated Time, its mostly used by the Military/Airline Industry, so no matter whereabouts in the world you are, you're working to the same time. I only know cos i'm a pilot and it can get mighty confusing working out flight times (especially when I used to fly out in NZ and we file all flight plans in UTC which was 12hrs behind NZ local time!) It would be a hell of a lot more confusing though if we worked off individual time zones!
So in theory they could release it at say 00:01 UTC which is 00:01 UTC in every part of the world, but it would never be the same local time everywhere
ah well not long now hopefully
...too late... o_O
Argh, Its such a tease
Hehe the forum user count is at 550-odd now... wonder if we can break the online record of 2006!?
No? Well it was worth a try.
Yay?
