Will it run on my crappy comp?

I have a decent computer, but right now I'm overseas and just have my laptop which like most work laptops, has crappy 3D capabilities. I don't really know the specs, but I know my laptop can run the Strongbad games. So, whatdya guys think? Is Monkey Island much more demanding than Strongbad.

Yes, I am aware that I could just wait until it is released, which will probably be soon. But it's not like we have anything better to do until it is released.

Man, I hope it is playable on my laptop. I'd hate to have to wait another whole month to play the first new Monkey Island game in years.

I doubt the specs would be very different to Strong Bad. All the Telltale games run pretty easily on most computers.

Why don't you try the Wallace & Gromit-Demo? You can get it here for free. It should be the same specs.

here's a quote from the internationl house of mojo review.
I played this episode - delightfully titled "Chapter One" - on a machine that is actually below Telltale's recommended specifications. They say they need a 2.0 GHz + processor (3 GHz Pentium 4 or equivalent recommended), 512MB of RAM (1GB recommended) and a 64MB DirectX 8.1-compliant video card (128MB recommended). I played it on a 32mb card with 480mb of RAM, and it still ran bearably well, though I wouldn't exactly recommend the experience. On the lowest graphics setting and 800x600 resolution the graphics were still gorgeous (partly thanks to the strong art direction), but the frame-rate in some areas was jarringly low. There are a few environments that have a lot of background animation, and I'm sure it looks stellar on a real computer, but be prepared for slow-down if, like me, you bought your laptop four years ago from a Cornish woman called Dawn.

    hope it helps.
