Black screen and game freeze for episode 3

Hi, when I launch episode 3 it just freezes on a black screen with a cursor. I have downloaded the patch and everything, it didn't solve the problem.
I'm on Mac.

Please help me!

I apologize for the delayed response, and any difficulties this has caused you. After looking over your Support Tool information, it seems that your computer is running below the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory, your computer is currently running at 384mb of dedicated memory. Your computer uses an integrated Intel graphics card, which we do not recommend using for our game, as they tend to run under minimum specs. I recommend either trying to update your current graphics card's drivers to the latest version, and see if you are able to play, or try playing the game on a computer above minimum system requirements if you have the ability to.

You can also try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting, and then continue the episode, and see if your issue is resolved.

  • Thanks Mike! But the weird thing is that I played the first two episodes without problem... I tried changing the graphics settings, it didn't work. I tried window mode too.
And there are no updates available for my graphic card...

Any other solution in mind? Thanks!

If you are still experiencing the issue, my only other potential solution would be to uninstall the game, and download the new installer from our website. Then install the game using the new installer and see if you are then able to start the game successfully.

If the issue persists, your save files may have become corrupted, and I would then suggest you try deleting your save files and starting a new game, then see if you are able to play without it freezing at the beginning of the episode.
