Idol Pieces

I'm trying to change the winds on Flotsam and I need a nose and an axel for the last two idols. c.c;

Can anyone help?

The solution to the axle puzzle is rather cheesy. Also, instead of looking for a new nose everywhere, just stop and smell the flowers.
  • I used the cheese for the eyes though....

All right, you carved eyes into cheese! Even more useful that way, no?

When Guybrush looks at the idol he needs an axel for he says "I'll leave this till later".

    Do that.
  • Okay I did the nose one and now I'm trying to get past DeSinge to get to the 4th and final idol. >.<

Let him have a taste of his own poison. Uh, air-poison ;)

At least wait until someone explicitly asks for how to do something before giving them the answer! :p:
  • Nah it's cool, he put the spoiler text on there so I won't look at it until I HAVE to.

I apologize anyway, I thought you needed help with that.
  • In actuality I kind of did. And it was enough of a hint not to explicitly give me the item I needed and I did have an "Ooooooh" moment.
  • One more question. Now that DeSinge is the axel for the fourth statue, how do I get the weather vane on there?

I'm stuck on the idols right now, i've done two but i still have the axe and the eyes idols to fix. i know what is used but it does'nt seem to work as it is now

Well, he doesn't have the right slots, now does he. Perhaps if you took another look at the weathervane itself...

    Axe?
If you have something to put them on, perhaps without eyes they might be rather unadorned?
  • Trixie:
Did you see certain creepy things where one might get locked up for a while? It needs to be a bit cheesier.

I never saw them while running around, weird. got it now

I'm stuck with the cheese. What am I supposed to do now? When I use cheese as eyes (sounds strange isn't it:P) nothing happends.

You don't even need to do that. If you turn the idols a full turn, you'll notice his sound changes on a specific icon per level. It's pretty easy to work out once you've done that.

I'm assuming you've got the eye prints on the cheese?

    Weathervane?

The thingy that drops from the house of voodoo master after you got angry is called Weathervane ;)

I must be missing something. I feel like I am spinning randomly, I've looked at the weathervane, but it I'm still confused....

Put the weathervane on top of the idols

This might sound dumb, but I can't find any idols other than the first one. Is this a bug or am I missing something really obvious?

If you've not walked around the jungle yet, do so, they should appear.

Although, if you're on the big splash jungle screen view and still can't see them, are you sure you're at the right point in the game? :P

Have you smelled the flowers lately? They are amazing!

I still can't figure how to catch the right face when De Singe is the axle...

Listen closely. You'll hear him make an odd sound for each part when compared to the rest. ;)
  • edited July 2009
Oh is that it? I thought it was a easier way to figure it out.

    Thanks :D

    There is an easier way.
Hold up the weather vane, and one of the briefly visible sides is the side that you care about. It takes a bit of memorization, but nothing too difficult, and nothing you can't relook at.

How do you carve eyes into the cheese?

Tell us. We needs to know.

What, you don't remember seeing any eyes anywhere before? Take a closer look around the town...

There must usually be a lot of lonely eyes that look out from behind bars....

    That one is nice ;)

I just hope you can go back to Floatsom later in the game (but I guess you can with the map at the ship), since I destroyed my "Youtube" ... again ;) and not sure if I would need it later
