Glitch preventing me from continuing episode 3

Hi, I have the Steam pc version of TFTB and I'm almost finished with episode 3, except that when Athena got hit I exited to the main menu to restart from the last save point and when it loaded this happened:

All I can do is move the cursor and see Athena doing nothing.

Playing the episode 3 on Steam and near the end went into the main menu. After going back into the game, I get stuck and the game doesn't continue. Tthe moment where Fiona wakes up and Athena is tossing her shield to save her. I can move the mouse cursor and all, but everything else is pretty much still. I made a screenshot as a reference. I restarted the game and all but it starts at the same point. Is there something I can do to fix it?

@M0lly and @Memory My sincerest apologies. Thank you for providing the extra information, I will make sure to pass it along to the team. If you become stuck at any point in the episode, please try rewinding to the previous chapter/checkpoint in the episode then play through to that scene again, and you should not experience the same issue again.

I tried rewinding and it worked! I needed to go through some choices again in the game, but It was not a problem. Finished the episode just fine, awesome episode and can't wait for the next one! Thanks for the help so very much! Have a nice day

@M0lly and @Memory Can either of you provide any more detailed information on the steps you took to reach this issue of being stuck? When did you pause the game and exit to the main menu? Was the red Action Cursor on screen, or was there a character on-screen when you pressed pause? Was Athena just hit when you paused it, or was it a minute or two after?

I am currently stuck at the exact moment shown in the screenshot above. Here are the steps I took to end up there:

1. Playing the game, I thought I didn't click "[Throw Shield]" in time to save Athena because she ended up getting hit by the rockets.
2. As soon as Athena hit the ground, I hit escape and chose Main Menu, and then went back to continue the episode
3. After catching the shield again, and making sure I clicked Throw Shield in time this time, I realized that wasn't the right choice to save her, so I hit escape again, just to see if any of the other options saved her.
4. I went back to the Main Menu, and tried to continue again, but ended up with the view in the screenshot. I could hear ambient sound, Athena is slightly swaying, I could move the red cursor, and I could still hit escape.
5. I tried going to Main Menu and continuing a few times, and also tried quitting to desktop a few times, but so far I'm stuck.
6. I'm going to try rewinding now.

I sincerely apologize for any difficulties this causes you. Rewinding to the previous chapter/checkpoint should resolve this particular issue. If you do experience it after rewinding, you can also try rewinding back two chapters/checkpoints in the Episode, and play from there.
