Works flawlessly on VMware Fusion

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to let my fellow mac users out there know that TOMI works flawlessly on a VMware Fusion vm of Windows XP. I tried it and it works without a hitch!

Yep, it is working great for me too. My MBP is slow roasting my lap, but it is running pretty smooth!

    Good to hear.
I actually installed Windows 7 with Boot Camp just to play this. ;-)

My old windows xp vm is really messed up, so i created a new virtual machine with the default windows xp settings that vmware fusion gives and installed windows xp fresh on that one. Once xp was installed, i just installed vmware tools and it worked fine. Make sure you have 3d acceleration enabled in the vm's settings though.

I'm also using Fusion with my macbook pro - how are the graphics working out for you guys? The game is running well, but I can't get anymore than level 6 in the game's graphics option. It also doesn't seem to affect performance when switching between the 9400m & the 9600m card in the MBP...

Any insight will be much appreciated!

Indeed there is no difference if you use the 9400 or the 9600 adapter. There is no difference even if you assign 128 or 256 MB on the virtual video adapter (parallels virtualization feature).

But then again I'm happy that it is playable on my 17' MBpro using a windows xp VM and running @ 1920x1200 @ 6 quality

I wish I could just make it work on another VM I have that runs Windows 7... where it just crashes at launch :(

Anyone tried this with VMWare Workstation on Linux?
I'm asking because Workstation@Linux used to keep pace with Fusion@Mac, but I can't try the new update right now because I am not home atm....

Well answering my own question here :)
VMWare Workstation 6.5.3 runs this game perfectly with an XP guest on my Linux host. I'm impressed.

I honestly didn't think that it would work with XP but i'll try the way you've done Buy to Let Insurance and see how it affects me :)

    Thanks for the info!
