Can't play the game on OS X

Hi! I just bought TFTB on Steam through the summer sale and fired it up today to a title screen showing and then it goes to black with the mouse cursor still showing, but nothing else happens. I tried windowed mode and fullscreen, no difference was made. I have the game installed on a USB 3 drive that I run several of my steam games on because I have a 2013 Macbook Pro with only a 256GB SSD so space is limited. Whatever solution there is (if there is one) to fixing the problem, I would like to be a able to run it off of this drive if possible. I am a developer and am mac savvy enough to where I can customize some things if need be to get this working. Thanks and hopefully I can play this soon!     I sincerely apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. Unfortunately at this time the game does not support the ability to be run off of a secondary storage device on computers. You will need to have the game installed to the default internal storage in order to run successfully on your Mac. My apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.
