I had terrible slow mouse response with a delay of roughly 2 seconds.
Of course, reducing graphics quality (in my case to 3) solved the problem, but due to the unprecise mouse control it took me about 20 minutes to get there.
For further releases I would suggest to make the default setting one. It would be much easier to increase quality as far as possible.
By the way: Are there any technical instructions available on the website or within the game? I wonder where all the other posters got the info on using WASD for example?
I don't know why but after visit the town i go to the forest then i go back to the town i will have a 25/30fps!! i don't understand why this change? it usually go to 60fps... i have the lastest drivers and i have a very good PC to run the game!
Stupid Question, where is the graphics control menu?
Press ESC to go to settings, from there you can change the current menu.
On topic: I have a much worse computer than the poster above but my game runs perfectly on graphics 9 with 1024x800ish. I really like the blurry "fairytale" effects going on!
8800? That's decent, not high end but should be able to run it.
Turn down the resolution, that should help.
My game ran at full fps at max graphics, and I've got:
2.6Ghz Quad Core
Nvidia 9500 512MB (shutup, it's not that crap)
4GB Ram
Widescreen Monitor, so I ran it in 1680x1050
I know it's not so bad card... i playing at 1680x1050 if i turn down the resolution it's the same... the funny thing it's that if i visit for the first time a location and i come back again i will loose 20fps! it's the first time that happen that to me... i turned on 8 the quality setting but it's the same... if i play for the first time all will be at 60fps with no problem but the problems starts when i go to the same location...
8800 actually IS high end (for geforce, everything that ends with 300 is low end, 600 is middle, and 800 is high). I personally don't know why people are such resolution whores. I played the S&M seasons in a windowed 800x600 on high settings and it looked gorgeous, so people going all out to 1680x1050 and such is just plain weird to me. Resolution is always a pretty big factor in the CPU\GPU usage. First thing you do if the game is slow is to lower the resolution. Only then, start playing with the details. Just my 2 cents.
hmm the 8800gts was high end like 2 years ago not anymore. the 8800 gtx still holds up quite well as a high end card but not the gts. i agree though most games can still look good with resolution lower with game settings higher

Lol at least I wasn't the only one. Almost two in the morning, I just wanted to make sure the game worked and go to bed for work in the morning. Took me ages and I bet cos the demo doesn't save, it doesn't remember my settings and I'll have to do it all over again tonight.
I would of suggested the same thing as you, it'd be so much of a time saver. I think just turning down the resolution down from 1024x768 to 640x480 was enough for my computer, but I still put the quality down to 1 *shrug*
The game looked sooooo great with the lower settings, I don't see the need to up it. I can't wait for tonight, even if it is only the demo (how long is it anyways?)
Thanks but the problem is not the card cos i play at 60fps in any situation at 1680x1050 with quality 9 in full screen the problem is when i return to a location and i already saw and the fps go down to 30/40fps... there is so no sense... that's why i really don't understand the problem... i'm playing with other games and they run at 60fps with no problem...
^probably a memory issue. I had that in the last episode of S&M season 2. the paging file grows with every new location, and that's causing a slow down the more you play the game.

I donno, man. I have 7300GT, and my computer is a P4 2.8ghz (lower then the requirements for ToMI) and the demo runs smoothly at 1027x768. 7300GT is,without a doubt, the BEST low end card I've ever seen. It even ran 'Call of duty 5' at highest with no issues (800x600, but still). I'm simply amazed by it every time.

Thanks... Any solution about paging? Why with other games no problem?
It runs pretty terrible at max resolution and graphics quality. Plenty of stuttering, both graphics and sound. I'm running some pretty recent games at higher resolution smoothly, why does this run so poorly?
I'm startitng to think that the Telltales should put online a patch to resolve a lot of graphics problems... it's impossible that with a 8800GTS sometime the games go down to 25/30fps!
And it's impossible that in my computer (core 2 duo t9300 @2.5ghz, 4gb ram, geforce 9500 gs) it runs better in linux under wine that on natively on windows. Wallace&Gromit demo runs almost perfectly with 1280x800 and quality set to 9, there is something wrong.

This is what I'm thinking. Obviously enough people are experiencing problems with it. Any TTG people with word on this? I mean, even the intro stutters, and that's hardly the most complex location in the game.
Sorry for hijacking this thread, but maybe someone in here can help me: "Monkey Island doesn't run at all."
I installed it, let it check DX, everything fine. Then I tried to "start the game" - but nothing happens. Simply - nothing. No errors, no warnings, no nothing. The only thing that changes is that there actually IS a new process calles 'monkeyisland101.exe".
Sys config:
Intel Core2Duo @ 2x3,00 Ghz
2 gig Corsair RAM
Geforce 8800 GT
Windows XP SP3

You updated you drivers recently? Graphics especially.
I went to settings before starting the game. All I see for Gameplay settings is a yes or no option for Pop up text and subtitles. There isn't anything about Graphics. Thanks for any help. I am having the problem of it moving slow and also the inventory screen in the game is all black so I can't see anything except words of the items when I scroll over there.

I've posted a screenshot of how the settings are supposed to look here - what does your settings screen look like?
