  • Did the end of Fables have a good ending like nothing more needs to be explained ?(I didn't read it, I don't care about spoilers).
If not then telltale was probably waiting for Fables to end to start a season 2 where you play after the ending of Fables.

  • That would raise a big problem - those people who haven't read Fables would have no idea what's happening. For example, Bigby gets with Snow and they have (correct me if I'm wrong) 7 children! This is a minor thing, compared to some stuff that happens in the comics to those characters, who also appear in TWAU.

  • Agreed, also I think that 80's noir theme of the game works much better. I mean, we've got a lot of "modern-ish" timeline to explore in the comics, and one thing I really loved TWAU for is the setting and atmosphere which feels just like a big breath of fresh air. TWAU should always take place in noir themed 80's in my opinion

  • Yeah, they pulled off noir amazingly well. Everything, starting with palette and ending with soundtrack and visuals, just breathes 80s at you. Just another thing why TWAU is da best.

  • Sorry for interrupting, you seem to all miss the point, first our stories, were written as gods, than, they were reused over and over again. And in the end, a bunch of programmers, achieve, what no story could, reach austria and tell Bigby, Ghost, has found what he was looking for, the farm, can be destroyed.

So since i loved season 1, almost had to play it more than one time, my girfriend even loved it more. I do what's needed, COME ON HYPE SEASON 2!

But sure, Bigby doesn't need Snow, but she would not love him any other way.

Tell her, her clock is ticking and sorry for revealing this. She was behind all of it, right from the beginning and used her looks for everything she achieved. And sorry father, one of us, will die. But remember, if you stop me, nothing will change, for all fables, even humens, that can't except, they are in it too. But believe me, the powers that were, will fall, like they did, the powers that be, will fade, like they should and the powers that never were may rise.

Season 2: Chapter 1, the rebirth, of the lost Child.

And most of it, i have already written. Come on telltales! I may even be so kind to give it to you for free, just one simple thing. I am him and there is no other way. I got his good looks too, but something else, i think it's called imagination? But i could be wrong.

  • Fables ended in a way that answers a lot of questions for centuries to come in the series. And like armis37 said, you would need to read the comics and spin-offs to understand what has happened in the past and who all these new characters are.

I read the last issue, and was disappointed with how the ending was done (it felt rushed!)

Agreed. To be fair to everyone here, there seems to be this notion in video gaming culture that a good game always gets a sequel. Which I think is sad. People accept good self-contained movies, but they want every good video game to have a sequel. Take Inception. People loved that movie, it ended on a similarly ambiguous note as TWAU, and I never once read someone demanding a sequel. If it was a Telltale game, people would be posting about how we need a sequel to learn whether DiCaprio's character was still in a dream. Which misses the point that, like the Wolf Among Us, the point of the ending was to let the viewer/player think about the ending's meaning. Everything that needed to be wrapped up was wrapped up, and the rest was deliberately left up to the viewer/player to figure out.

  • 2017-2018.

    It breaks my heart to not be able to see Wolf for so long ;_;

Same pff when do you think it will come out?

  • I personally don't care when it will come out for as long as we actually get it (hopefully before all of the actors get too old because I cannot imagine a TWAU game without Adam Harrington and Erin Yvette)

Every day shall I look at the horizon, look into the skies and never let my guard down. I will be waiting. (at least until my death)

Same pff when do you think it will come out?

  • Speaking of Adam, he wants TWAU very much himself :(

  • Well, Vertigo too seeing as they still on the rights to the series.

And Vertigo are notorious for being difficult to reason with on contracts...

Yeah but honestly if TTG wanted to, they could start working on the contracting right now, to get the rights for the possible sequel. There is nothing a person cannot achieve, it's just up to them. But nope, third season of TWD which feels completely unnecessary to me, Minecraft to rob kids out of their money, Marvel etc. are more important. Ehh... I don't even know what to say, I do love TTG but they are can be really irritating sometimes. And I'm not saying they are doing something bad, but silent treatment is not a good way to go...

Hands up those among us who believe that, with Fables brought to a definite conclusion, TellTale now might actually be negotiating the rights for a sequel to the Wolf Among Us? I like to believe that the reason for such a long period of time without any news regarding this series would lie with the possibility of them waiting untill the story had reached its end for them to then decide as to what should be done henceforth.

  • I concur, TellTale may actually be negotiating right now. Vertigo are infamous for being difficult to work with :P

  • If they'd just confirm Season 2, not matter if it's in 2017 or 2018, I could just sit calm like a cucumber and wait for it. Now, ... ;_:

  • Well, Bill Willingham was always saying how difficult they were to work with throughout the production of Fables. Let's not also forget how many times TWAU got delayed (and renamed) before it was released :D

Are they really? In what ways, pray tell.
