My apologies, unfortunately we were unable to access your Support Tool file using the link you provided. We recommend using This File Hosting Website to upload your file, and we will then be able to download it successfully.
If you are experiencing crashing at the 'Searching For DLC' screen, please first make sure that you have disabled any anti-virus or internet firewall programs open and running that may interfere with the connection from completing successfully. If you still experience the issue, please try uploading your Support Tool file to the site I've provided above, and we will be able to assist you further.
I uploaded it to the site you provided: https://www.sendspace.com/file/amgxvp
thank you
Thank you for providing the new download link. After looking over your Support Tool information, I noticed that your C:\ drive is almost out of space. If your drive is out of space, the game may not be able to successfully download any and all update files necessary for starting the game. I recommend clearing some space on your C:\ drive, then try starting the game again, and you should be able to progress past the 'Searching for DLC' screen.
thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately that wasn't the problem...
My apologies, please find a few more potential solutions below (You may have tried a few of them, but I will post all of the potential solutions to resolve your issue below):
1) Ensure you have the latest drivers for both your graphics card, and your computer’s BIOS
2) Restart your system
3) Unplug your gamepad (and all other USB devices other than keyboard/mouse) and plug in headphones to the audio out jack.
4) Verify your cache if you purchased through Steam (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)
5) Run the game as admin
6) Run the game in compatibility mode (right click on game’s icon, click properties, click compatibility tab , and we recommend running the game in Windows 98/ME ) (We recommend Windows 98/ME)
7) Reinstall the game
8) Make sure that the Steam application is not set to a compatibility mode (right click on steam and click properties, then check compatibility, and make sure that it is not checked to play in a different OS)
9) Disable Steam Overlay, if you purchased through Steam (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3168263)
10) Opt out of the Steam Beta, if you purchased through Steam (http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/828934424165581080/)
i tried it all, nothing works. i am downloading the update for the new episode now, maybe that will change something.
if it does not i'll probably have to return it...
