Money wasted

Okay so my friend and I played this game on his Xbox 360 and it was fun and all so I got it on my iPad.
Well, I was thrilled to see it was much like the 360 version, but I recently found it has one fatal flaw.
The rest of the episodes were about $15, which is a lot for a person that doesn't get money for iTunes that often, and when I go to download Episode 2, my iPad crashes multiple times, I have to delete some apps because I figured it might help (which it did), then it got to 99% before the app crashed. I've tried redownloading the app and restoring purchases, but nothing is working. Any ideas? I'd like to not have to say I wasted $15 on a game that isn't working....

I apologize for any difficulties this has caused you. Please close the game and all other applications running in the background. This should free up necessary system resources. (To close an app running in the background on iOS 6 and before: double tap the home button to make all running apps appear at the bottom of the screen, hold down on an app you wish to close and red buttons will appear, tap the red buttons to close the apps. If on iOS 7/8, double tap the home button and swipe up on the open apps to close them) Also, please turn off your iOS device for at least three minutes before attempting to play the game again. This will allow the device’s cache to clear.

Then after restarting your device, please reset the WiFi by turning the WiFi Settings Off, and back On again. Then try starting the game application again, and see if you are able to successfully start the app and fully download Episode 2.

If the issue persists, can you please clarify what model iPad you are currently using, and what iOS version it is currently updated to?
