My sincerest apologies. Can you please clarify if you are able to see your saves if you open your save slots menu by clicking 'Change Save File' at the main menu of the game? If you open your save file directory folder in:

    C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\Game of Thrones\

Do you see 'saveslot1.bundle' files there? Please read this Sticky on how to run our Support Tool, and follow the steps to run the tool, and reply here with the download link copied and pasted into a reply. You can find the Sticky here:

Unfortunately after looking over your Support Tool information, your save file directory does not seem to have any '_saveslot1_checkpoint.bundle' files in it. Can you please clarify where you are seeing the saveslot_checkpoint.bundle files on your computer? Also, can you please clarify if you ever uninstalled and reinstalled the game from your computer?

  • I have just reinstalled windows on a new drive C, but kept my steam games directory on my old disk. The old disk is now drive E. I instructed the steam client to use the game directory on drive E and all my games seem to work fine except this one. The save files are currently in E:/Users/MYNAME/Documents..etc..
So I guess the game is looking for my saves on C drive, which is weird because the game itself is only installed on E.
    Sorry if this is confusing.

In your case, I would recommend try copying your save folder 'Tales From The Borderlands' from your E:\ drive, and paste it into the identical location on your C:\ drive as i specified above, then start the game, and it should be able to locate your save files successfully.

  • Thanks for the help, moving the files from E to C has worked, although it's a bit odd that the game was looking for them on a completely seperate drive, even after I specified where to look for the saves on steam.
    Anyway, thanks again.

How about inside your save file directory that I provided above? Are you able to see '_saveslot1_checkpoint.bundle' files there?

Thank you for providing your Support Tool information. Unfortunately after looking over your data, the game does not seem to be installed to the default location. Can you please clarify if you are playing the Steam version, Telltale Games version, or GoG version of the game?

If you have the game installed to an External drive, I recommend try reinstalling it on your C:\ drive, then move your 'Game of Thrones' folder with your save files to the following location:

    C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\

Then start the game, and you should be able to continue from where you left off. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to generate save files, if you cannot find your saves, or they are not in your 'Game of Thrones' folder, you may need to start a new game. My apologies for any difficulties this may cause.
