Was the "traitor" really a traitor?

Telltale made it clear that whoever isn't the sentinel was the traitor, but this seems waaaay to simple especially for a Telltale game. Could it be that the "traitor" took the blame for someone else? Maybe he was covering for that person to protect them. One thing I realized is that House Forrester never said who was sentinel BEFORE the events of the twins. We know Gregor trusted Duncan, but that doesn't mean he was a sentinel. It seems they never even had a sentinel. The whole sentinel plot started because the maester had the brace of office from the very beginning, so was the whole sentinel really just a hoax to test loyality? The whole "I found this note in a tree in the grove" explaination was weird too especially after the ravens being dead.

  • Yes, don't try to excuse it. They wrote a shitty traitor reveal based on who wasn't their sentinel.

She didn't just find a note, she was someone put it there. Even after they revealed the traitor, the traitor came out and said everything...If someone was really framed or taking the blame, would they die for it?

  • Not again... sighs

There's a thread that adresses exactly the same subject

Anyway, yes the traitor was the traitor. You guys are overthinking it...
