Problems with mouse control

I just wondered if anyone besides me has a hard time with the mouse controls?
My cursor seems to be A LOT faster than my actual moves. So every time I want to point and click I move the cursor to the direction of the object and my cursor goes waaay beyond the object into that direction.
I don't know how I can possibly change that because I am a total noob to PC games. The only games I ever played are the MI ones.

(I hope I've made myself understandable. Didn't know how to express it correctly. :(

If the mouse-drag seems much more sensitive than your regular mouse settings, perhaps your video-resolution is set too low and your mouse is moving much further across a much shorter screen than it should be?

And how could I change that?
    Thanks for the answer!! =)

Try to reduce the mouse sensitivty in the windows control panel maybe it helps.
If not there is still the possibility to use WSAD for movement or a gampad analog stick in one hand for movement :-)

I tried that but it doesn't really help.

Gamepad? Wut? Oh gosh I guess I am much more of a newbi than I want to admit.
    What's that?
Moving around with Guybrush doesn't seem to be the problem. It's just the point and click that really sucks on my pc.

Actually, I have the opposite problem.

As in the W&G demo, my cursor is way too slow and very, very, very, very, very fiddly to navigate. Any chance to skip to the system cursor instead? That would really make things so_much_better.

    Help greatly appreciated!

I had the same problem. Reduce the graphic quality in the settings, submenu graphic settings until your mouse works normally. It is a bit difficult as the mouse is not responding well to click the required buttons and arrows, try real tiny movements and you will get there.

In my case, I reduced the quality from 6 to 3 and everything worked fine with any screen resolution. In another post I suggested make a lower quality setting default to avoid this problem. Hopefully telltale reads this post.

    Thank you very much!

I thought so. Couldn't try it, though, because I'm at work now; I only had 15 minutes to download, install and try the demo this morning, fascinating that this actually worked. ;) I had the settings on 9 (!) and quite a high resolution; less might work better, hopefully. I need the smooooothest cursor ever, or I'll curse. ;)

I'll be off duty in five hours (German time!). As there will be dozens of threads with this same problem by then, I doubt that I will find this particular thread again to post in it. So, thanks again and in advance!

I tried the mouse control a few times last night and couldn't stand it. It's setup correctly - I just don't like how it feels and works. I still prefer keyboard for navigating in most games so it wasn't a huge deal for me since that option is still there. It would have been nice if they kept the simple (albeit, old) point-and-click style of the original Monkey Island games for nostalgia.

I'll try and get along with the ToMI controls (still in demo mode ;) ) - but they'd better not opt for this in the next Sam&Max Season!!
