Why Not Give Custom Subtitle Support?

I wish there was a modding option, much like the .sub files for video, to write your own subtitles to the game. I'm sure the Telltale community would create decent subtitles to a vast variety of languages in no time. Having Finnish subtitles in the games would be useful to introduce these games to a few friends of mine.

Is there a reason not to have such a feature?

    Maybe they want to keep a certain degree of control over their game ? I know I would.
