Bought ToMI here, but I want to be able to access it on Steam

Does that mean I need to buy it twice? I really hope not, I like having all my games in one place, instead of having to log into multiple websites to redownload all my games (if I change computers etc)...

If it's not possible, can you guys at Telltale Games please consider coming up with a system to transfer purchases. I really don't want to buy the game twice, but I'm guessing that's why it is done like this.

Eg. On Steam, click on 'Games' -> 'Activate a product on Steam...' etc. And just use the serial code from telltalegames.com to link your game to your Steam account.

This only works, if the serial codes from TTG and Steam are from the same serial pool. If not, then the serial will not be accepted.

Can I request a serial that is valid on both then? Like, can TTG deactivate my current serial code and reissue me one that works on both please?

Like I said before... if they don't have the same serial pool, then it won't work.
They've submitted serials to Steam, that's their pool. Only serials in the steam pool will work.

And as I've read before, I think this is not possible. Someone from Telltale said that. As someone has asked nearly the same. Just look into this Forum. I think here was a thread, that asked nearly the same.

That's probably not too helpful, but you can always add a non steam game to the list of games in the steam client.

I just saw that MI was released on Steam, too. My problem is that I already bought it directly on this site because it was not shown on the steampowered website some days ago. Now I really would like to add it as a real Steam-Game. Unfortunaltely Steam does not accept the Serial which I received here (this must be the pool-thing of keys)... If there is a way of adding it to Steam (not just adding it as a non-Steam-game) I would appreciate every small hint that could make that possible.

Yeah, can Telltale please work on a solution so we don't have to buy every episode twice? I know you'd like the extra money but how about showing some good customer support instead?

Please do someting about this and not only for ToMI, but for the other games you sells on steam too. It is the game (serial) we pay for, not how to play it.

sorry this isn't very helpful to you all but one thing I have always wondered about, why would you want to do this? It isn't like this is a multiplayer game or anything so you gain nothing but the overhead of the steam client if you do it like that.

I'm just curious that's all, heck you may even be able to convince me that I would want to do it.
