Slow motion:(

Just downloaded the new Monkey Island but it's rather sloooww and very difficult to use the curser to select anything because of the slowness. It seems I might be missing something but I'm not sure what. I have enough memory on the pc and Directx and all that. Has anyone had the same problem? I have played other games that use a lot of graphics and memory and they played fine.

    drop the visual settings down to 3/4

    Can someone please tell me how to do that? I'm having the same problem and it's really frustrating :(

    It's in the options menu on the settings page. If I remember correctly, once there, you have to click the right arrow to move it onto the page settings that relates to the graphics.

    I don't exactly have a cutting edge computer, 3 year old macbook pro, so I definitey had some hiccups when i first started. I dropped the quality slider down to five, not sure what changed with that, other than the lack of Depth of field.

    Game REALLY sped up once I stopped running it off my external moniter, and even moreso once I quit running the game through steam so I could chat with my buddy.

    In short, steam chat hurt, and so did my external moniter. Game ran silky smooth on my laptop at 5 quality, and at 1400x900. I probably could have pushed the settings back up but it was still all looking good. Mind you my macbook pro has a gimped ati x1600 due to heat. So anything newer than 3 years old with the tiniest bit of tweaking should run this very well.
