will PETE Survive?!! Discussion

I thought Nick would've been the proper choice, I saw the blood on Pete's leg but the "next time on the walking dead" thing shows that Nick goes down a path not unlike Kenny.. full of booze, regret, and anger.

So I reloaded and chose Pete and it seems Nick survives that way too... or at least ran off. They showed a saw in the ending suggesting Pete was going to cut his leg off.

However, both endings "next time" shows neither Pete or Nick.. and since Pete's status is determinant and Nick either runs away or turns to booze I think that Pete is going to die regardless of anything and Nick is going to hate you for either betraying him (choosing to save Pete) or letting Pete die (choosing to save Nick). Also will pete survive for episode 2? Will he have enough time to cut it off before the infection spreads? I know the new trailer didn't show pete but maybe it was nicks storyline(where you saved nick instead of pete). So they dont spoil if pete survived, or not please answer for your hypothesis and answer!!? ;) thanks for reading!!

  • I'm betting he dies. In episode 2. I don't see Telltale making all the code and additional storyline for if he survives episode 2, when there's a choice in episode 1 that causes him to die.

  • Yea true but hey!! Telltale does mind blowing stuff to their game so who knows?!

  • I really hope he survives. That would make the decisions we made more important. Pete's a badass after all!

  • I don't expect him to survive the whole season and honestly don't think he'll make it past episode 3 unfortunately (ala Carley/Doug) but I hope he will survive.

Pete did say he knew someone that survived by amputation and we know it made no difference to Lee (though My Lee kept his arm so Clem wouldn't know either way.) but he had passed out before he even considered that as an option. If Pete acts quickly enough, it could be possible. However It'll probably upset Lee fans that did choose to amputate his arm, hence why I can't see him making it all the way through. That and only having one leg is going to cause a whole load of problems in a zombie apocalypse.. unless we can somehow find him a wheelchair xD

  • Didn't Telltale say something about how this choice was going to have more of an impact than the Carley/Doug one in S1?

  • Yeah, they said that the consequences of the Pete/Nick choice were really important, and we'd be feeling those consequences throughout the Season. They also gave it as a reason for the short length of Episode 1: said consequences couldn't be shown well in the time that was left, so they cut it short.

  • Was that in the episode of Playing Dead? Not doubting it, just killing time and wanted to read/watch where they mentioned that at.

  • I really hope that Pete lives if you saved him. I've just been hoping that the reason he isn't in the trailer is because it was shown from the perspective of someone who saved Nick.

  • Lee died because he didn't cut off his arm soon enough. You have to cut it off before the infection spreads past the point that he cut it off at. He would have had a higher chance of surviving if he cut it off at the shoulder and not at the elbow. Because honestly, if there's no hand at the end of it, what's the point of the arm?

  • I read it in some article somewhere, way before Playing Dead. Sorry to say, I can't provide a link, so I won't fault you for not believing me.

  • Who bumped it up?

  • PETE! COME BACK! It hurts... so much...

  • He does not return.

  • And why would you bump this thread?

    He does not return.

  • I wanted to see old forum posts.

And why would you bump this thread?

  • You can do that without commenting on them and breaking forum guidelines. Questions like this have already have been answered, it is completely pointless to comment on this.
