If Clementine was no longer the protagonist, who would you want it to be?
Assuming Clementine was killed or went missing or something, that means the game needs a new person for you to play as. Who would you want it to be?
A lot of people would choose Sarah, but I would choose Luke. He's definitely taken kinda of a role as Lee #2 in the sense of watching over Clementine, but that's just me. Who do ya think?

Anyway, i would want it to either be Clem again, or a completely different Group!
Carver or Luke. It would be awesome to go back and see Carver's choices that made people scared and such.
I do not think that Clem will die exactly but I would choose Luke. I think that we are not gonna have a new protagonist, but it will be like the Collector scene from Mass Effect 2, where the player takes control of Joker for a few minutes.

IF she did, I'd agree with you on picking Luke. He seems to have the best head on his shoulders in comparison to the others (although I'm unsure how I feel about that after he went missing at the end of s2e2) and seems to know the group well.
If Clementine's story ended, one way or another, I'd like to see a brand new character.
I'd like a new character personally, you can't just take the role of a character that already has a defined personality. It worked with Clementine because she's growing up and it makes sense. And playing as an older Clementine would go way too past the comics timeline.
The story can only go so far until Telltale has to start over the series because of the timeline. So my bet is that they are going to do this eventually and Clementine will be referenced or make an apereance.

I could play as Luke. He's the character I connect with most in the entire WD universe, so I'd love to play as him.

Shel or Russell could make a good protagonist. Or how about continuing Lily's story? I would like to see her again, but it would be a little too coincidental for Clem to run into two people she knows just by accident.
I love Sarah as a character, but don't know how she'd work as a protagonist... but that almost makes me want to see them do it, just because the experience would be so different.
I don't know to be honest, of the characters we know right now? I don't think I want anyone else. Kenny has oftentimes done stupid things that I wouldn't agree with when he was an NPC. As much as I like Kenny, I don't ever want to play as him. Being the most prominent NPC of the series isn't a bad thing at all. Reason why it was cool to play as Clementine was because you (as Lee) trained Clementine into being able to take care of herself. So when you took over as Clementine you felt like you were succeeding from Lee.
If there is going to be a character to replace her as the player-character I think it would be better if it was someone we haven't met before.
Since I don't really care for anybody in this new group, if Clem dies, second season will be my last. I won't buy a third season.

Clementine is the one and only. Her death is the end of the game for me.
I really don't know to be honest.... What I do know, is that I won't stop playing the game if Clem dies/goes missing. I also think people saying that now, said the same thing when Lee died.
Either Luke or a completely new character.
It'd be interesting to play as Luke, maybe Clementine will go missing at the end of Season 2 and Luke sets out to find her. Would be a really cool storyline.

Clem was already in the 1. Season my favorite character. Lee was just a means to an end for me.

Shawn Greene's friend that Lee and Clementine met out on the street if you picked the safety of daylight, he turns up as a Walker if you wait until night.
He was a pretty gutsy guy, he jumped into the back of a pickup truck when Walkers were going towards it.

As long as Clementine's story ends without her dying... I would want to play as Eddie from 400 days, or someone new.
Edit: Scratch that, I can't imagine Eddie being in a position to make story altering decisions. I would want to be someone who is a legitimate, recognized leader of a group. Preferably a new character.

Molly, Lily, Luke or someone new. I think lily or molly would be cool. we could get some back story on them. Plus it would be cool to see what lily did after you left her or when she stole the rv.
