That Mathew was like a little to precious to Walter? so, ok they are "friends" but at what point? Walt gives Matt his favorite knife... they went all alone in that Skii Lounge for pretty good among of time... that pic of them look a little Holiday with my partner.... dont you think? I mean is the first time we saw a Homosexual love in the series... and Walt was like innervously Gay (in the "happy" meaningfull) and always talking about Matt and that everything was going to be "OK" went he comes back... I really thougt a weird Brokeback Skii-Lounge on the Mountain thingy...
We will never actually know about this, unless someone of TTG team say it but something that I noticed & I want to share!
