I'm going out on a limb here, but it seems he has a need for control... Maybe his camp gets attacked by walkers, and he refuses to give up, … morebecause it's his, defending the camp while most people leave and he's finally overwhelmed. - not in the noble sacrifice sense but the 'this is MY house!' kind of way.
just going to say only 2 people make it Luke and Clem. The major death at the end of the season is Kenny. probably going to be downvoted by Kenny supporters but its just a prediction.

I see Kenny and Carver battling it out.
After Carver manages to wound Kenny with a knife wound to the shoulder, Kenny wrestles the knife away from him and plants it in Carver's chest, killing him instantly.
I can picture Clementine or even Sarah killing him while he's in the middle of a fight with another character (Kenny, Carlos, Luke), possibly stabbing him or shooting him in the back in the head, sort of a callback to how Clem can shoot the stranger while he's grappling with Lee. As someone else posted, it could also serve as the first time Clem kills someone in anger.

My fav theory so far. Kind of what I was thinking

He'll have a fight with Corvo? I dunno.
