Supporting Telltale. Do sales do this?

Hey guys! I'm incredibly new to the Telltale community but I enjoy their games so I figured I'd show my support and join the discussion!

The general topic I wanted to bring up is the location of buying telltale games. I know Telltale has a place on their website where you can buy TWD Season 2 directly from them as well as other games. However is there any cons to me buying their games from other sources? Example if there's a sale and I want to buy a game on Steam then does Telltale get less money? I love Telltale and what they are doing and I want to support them to the best I can do however I don't want them getting less money because I decided to buy off Steam as opposed to their website. I also don't want my Steam version of the game to be less supported than if I bought the game from their store.

MORE INFO ON MY SITUATION (NOT NECESSARY TO READ BUT MIGHT HELP UNDERSTAND):
So I purchased The Walkind Dead Season 1 on my Xbox 360. Finished it and have all my choices on the Xbox 360. However I recently got a new PC and have bought The Wolf Among us on PC and just am moving more towards PC in general. Now I would love to get The Walking Dead Season 2 on PC but I don't want to leave my Season 1 choices on my Xbox and start brand new on Season 2. (I searched the internet and concluded that there was no legitimate way to move my save data files from my Xbox to PC) So I figured since I love these games so much I would just buy The Walking Dead Season 1 all over again and Season 2 with it, both on my PC. I honestly don't mind playing through Season 1 again on PC. I saw a very nice sale on Gamestop right now where I can get The Walking Dead Season 1, 400 days, and Walking Dead Season 2 for 25 bucks which is the price of TWD Season 2 on Telltale's site. Now I want to support Telltale, that's why I'm willing to buy the game again just to enjoy it on my PC (and not my aging by the day Xbox 360). Also if future Seasons come out I would imagine they will be optimized for next gen systems and I don't want to be playing the hypothetical The Walking Dead Season 4 on my Xbox 360.

Some input would be lovely and I'm new so let me know if I posted this in the wrong secetion or said something that violated the rules or guidelines. (I've read them over and I believe I haven't)

  • Go for it man. Sites like Steam or Gamestop ask companies for permission when they want to put their game on sale. And I heard that buying directly from Telltale's site is a bit sketchy on episode release dates, meaning some people can't download it on release day as opposed to Steam.

  • Thank you! Have now bought many Telltale games from multiple sources including :Telltale Store and Steam and have little to no issues!
