The game seriously needs a comeback of hub areas. [Gameplay time comparison]

  • The best parts of the game are controlling clementine. It's what i liked so much more in episode 1.

im at the station now,and fully understand the OP ,its beautiful,it gives the time for the player to breathe, just being normal,no rush to bash zombies brains in,more of this! this is some episode, brilliant! @TellTale

  • I'll try to make another analysis for episode 1 and maybe season 1 over the weekend.

I agree. I understand that TWD is an adventure game, and has to remain on rails at times to be coherent, but we're not asking for a sandbox

  • I hope they see this

  • That would be interesting. So long as the don't drop dialog and character building for a supply meter.

I hope the Community next episode is just 1 big Hub where in your spare time that your not working your working on your big escape, Gaining friends, Finding weapons, freeing prisoners, helping to fight off the herd incoming, etc.

  • A speed run is a run done as quickly as possible correct? So how is what you describe not a speed run? I understand speed is hardly applicable to the game, but the terminology of a speed run still makes complete sense.

Did you actually watch the video for even a minute? A "speedrun" in this series is pretty much just "replaying the game with prior knowledge

  • Telltale Games is taking their "Tell Tale" way too literally now.

    Dat pun

  • OP, did you analyze this for Episode 3? That was an episode where I felt like "wow, when will I be able to actually 'play'/explore?"
  • I didnt do it and right now i dont really have the motivation to replay ep3 a third time. I'll do it later once there's nothing left to talk about in these forums.I can assure you that this episode had a little bit more "gameplay" than episode 2 tthough.

Wow. If this was for Ep. 2, I feel bad for Ep. 3. There's like, literally nothing going on in terms of the player "doing things" in the entire episode. You're practically on a rail the whole time.

When I first played Ep. 3, and Clem was delivering the nails over, I could have sworn I was controlling her with the left stick, as I had it held towards the expansion the whole time. The long camera angle kinda gave me the impression of it, but when I tried moving the right stick to look around, I thought it was a glitch and made the thing disappear. After playing it a 2nd time, I realized that it was a cutscene, and I was fooled.
