Who would you wan't to be the Protagonist of Season 3?

Assuming there is a Season 3, who do you wan't to be the protagonist? (Assuming that Clem is not).

It can be any Season 2 survivor likely to survive. Kenny, Luke, Sarah and Rebecca seem pretty likely, while Nick is impossible due to him having a possible previous death, and Sarita and Sarah seem pretty unlikely.
Or, it can be someone new.

I personally would feel that Luke would make a great protagonist. I like his style and personality, and the way he refuses to kill the living could work in tight situations, where we would have to make some very tough decisions to develop his character and the story.

  • i still feel like we have yet to see what makes luke "broken" since everyone in season 2 has had sumthing wrong with them, but luke is the only one that hasn't had his "ailment" exposed. i'm REALLY not fond of any of the characters enough to say i'd want them as the protagonist in a season 3... out of everybody tho, i've liked nick the most, so i guess i'd have to say him. maybe he'll get lucky and not only get lines in ep4, but have a chance to survive. granted, since people could have killed him off with no doubt of his death, that wont happen...

A completely different character. If Clementine's story comes to a close this Season I don't think there would be a Season Three. She pretty makes the Telltale Walking Dead at this point.
  • Asim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope Clem's story doesn't come to a close, but if it does, I would like a completely new story, or someone that separated from the group.

If Telltale make a season 3 (please do) where Clementine is not the protagonist or at least someone who plays a major role then..... I will be pissed off. If Telltale even consider this then, Telltale please listen to me. No!!! No!!!! Clementine stays!!!!!

You know from the looks of it it's complicated. Clementine's story it's not ready to end but it could end in this season. I'm not saying I hate playing as Clementine. But you gotta prepare yourself. We saw what Telltale is capable of. Lee, Omid, Pete, Carlos, Alvin, Carver... If they can kill these awesome characters and not holding their back about Clementine's getting hit (Determinant) but I'm SO sorry they can kill her.

In Season One times Lee was the #1 in everyones's eyes (He's still is in my eyes!) and we thought; ''If Telltale kills Lee, then it's over for them.'' (I'm still angry about that by the way :) ) But guess what. NOTHING happened. (Probably just because Clementine is made it out alive.) If Clementine.....ugh.....catches her apple juice this season then I want to be a antagonist. Like Carver or Nate. All the time we tried our best to make people believe the world it's not over. What happens if do the opposite? I think it would be really cool. Seeing what kind of person you will become if you have limitless horrifying choices. Like torturing, killing.... But I have no idea about how our Season One, 400 Days and Season Two choices will affect MY Season Three.

    Sarah would be best option.
  • heck, look at reggie. we get a clip of "hey, check out this interview with the VA for a new character appearing in episode 3!" and then we get "oh sorry, he died and there's not a damn thing you could have done about it. well, that's TWD for you."

I don't agree, Clem must die for this season to be better than season 1.

  • well, with the way the writing is going, i suppose i could see that. it'd take alot for the writers to make a comeback at this point and give a decent ending... would be nice to get something more than "hey guys, it's TWD, nobody is safe, so let's just kill everyone off so everything the player has done was for nothing." all the effort of protecting clem as lee, trying to keep the cabin group alive, ur reunion with kenny. everybody dies, putting all that to waste. yup, that's the kind of ending people wanna see. *cough*

on a side note, has anyone found the sarcasm button, i think mine's broken.

  • If Season 3 would be as bad as Season 2,then nobody.
  • I agree. It's been long time since I made the theory Sarah is gonna be a new protagonist, Clem is gonna die in episode 4 and we play as Sarah in episode 5 (that's No Going Back to her childhood). Some people say they don't want to play as a child again but I don't know. It's surely better than Kenny (terrible - he is insane), Luke (boring) or anyone else, maybe except Christa.

Btw is that username again about these "ships". Please tell me it's not.

  • well, based on what was said in another post, they have the potential for another time jump, so if sarah manages to prove that darwinism doesn't work, it's possible she could come back as the protagonist and age 17-18. they REALLY gotta do sumthin about proving she's managed to reclaim her mental stability before that, tho. her episode 3 reaction to carlos pretty much went against everything we've heard and that she's done up till then, with her having a nervous breakdown and either goin numb or into a fetal position. forced plot device goin against the character's personality, but what the hell, they've already taken plenty of other liberties with the plot, why not another.

  • TheCygi got it spot on right here. Clem dies then pretty much everything that happened before hand was for nothing. Lee dying actually seemed to be the right way to end the season. But Clem dying, no way!! I wouldn't play the game ever again.

Haha yeah, everybody run. I just couldn't bring myself to get over the possibility of one of my favorite fictional characters dying. Some times its hard enough playing as Lee in season 1 knowing how it ends for him let alone something bad happening to Clementine.

  • If there would be a S3, I think the only way to pull it off is switch back to becoming a guardian like Lee, but this time it would be Clementine in her early 20s taking care of Rebecca's baby. If Clem reaches 20ish the baby would be somewhere around 9-11 just like S2 Clem.

Lilly might be a good change. It has been a year or so. Her personality might even a bit different. Plus it would bring closure to the whole Pharmacy/Motel Inn Survivor Group

from what i've read, they can't go beyond the comic's timeline. so at most, there's a 2ish year gap that they can work with. havin clem runnin around with a toddler probly wont make for a decent premise. clem SEARCHING for the toddler, i could see. relatively decent life goin on, and some guy like the stranger from season 1, or jolene decides they can raise the kid better. shit happens, and when the dust clears, the kid's gone. the hunt ensues.

  • Vince or Kenny.
  • I want to believe that it depends our choices. *hugs*
  • I would never have guessed...

    Vince or Kenny.

  • Clem is the only option end of the story.
  • Damn forgot about the timeline...they could just continue her story for another season, or maybe introducing a new protagonist could be a good way to go with.
