Does any character in the game or the TV show or the comics ever ask whether all this is only happening in America or not?

    In S1E4: "Around Every Corner", there was a globe in a classroom/headquaters of Crawford. When examined, Lee says, "Can't help but wonder what's going on in the rest of the world..."

    Never read the comics, but I'm pretty sure no one ever brought it up in the tv show.

    There's a scientist that was working at finding a cure and he talks about other scientist in the rest of the world.
    I'd have to rewatch the show to be sure, but I think he mentions that the scientists in France were the last ones to report in.

    If the pathogen spread from America and only one dormant infected guy made it to China, the whole world is screwed.

    I think it's fair to assume that the infection spread across the entire world. It only takes one traveler dying, turning into a zombie and unleashing hell in another continent.

    Well if everyone is infected it must be an airborne virus which means it will be in the atmosphere all around the world.
