If Clem is the Protagonist I will not buy season 2 and heres why!
Plain & Simple
-I can not handle anymore of clem.
-Clem as a protagonist would ruin season 2.
-Season 1 I wanted to focus on survival not be a dad.
-Clem got very annoying towards the end and there was no choice in not
includeing her in every possible situation.
Season 2
1. Bring in a new group of survivors.
2. Leave old baggage behind and have it stay there (leave clem story alone start fresh)
3. Improve some gameplay mechanics like adding in some more gunplay vs horde without being in a cuttscene ( but keep relative structure from season 1 as a base)
4. Add in more group survival dynamics (Like the end of mass effect 2)
5. Keep same storywriters but like I said above, introduce new group of survivors.
Just my opinion. Agree or disagree but as always don't get butthurt.

This was meant to be a point-and-click adventure game, so being in a "cutscene" is just how it's going to work. It was always going to be about the emotional aspects, and approaching gameplay in an alternative fashion. I mean it's fine if you didn't like Clementine, but for me she is what made the storyline stand out from other video game stories, and gave me a reason to actually survive in a horrible world.
I think AMC's The Walking Dead Survival Instincts will have you covered on the FPS/action department. So, I'd like to see Telltale Games continue as they are, because there's enough stagnation as it stands in the gaming marketplace. Using more action is what killed Resident Evil and Survival Horror in the first place, so yeah, let's not go in that direction.
( but keep relative structure from season 1 as a base)
Nice Daryl macro BTW.
That simply isn't how this game was envisioned, i think. It's not about killing zombies at all, if you want more of that, you should try the "Survival Instincts" game coming out.
As for not wanting Clementine, well it seems she was one of the main focus points for the entirety of season 1.
I haven't watched the TV show at all, but from what i can gather that dude in the picture(Merle?) is a popular character with the audience. I'm sure there are a few people out there who wanted/continue to want him dead or out of the picture somehow, but the majority seems to enjoy having him around. The same with Clementine.
It's Daryl, Norman Reedus's character. Merle is his brother.
I can find no flaws to them.
I mean, TWD was my game of the year...if they took that and made decisions branch out better, reduced some of the framerate issues, and made puzzles more difficult (or at least more in depth and stimulating), the game might be my favorite EVER.
now shut up.
Also, huge sigh to this post.
I would like to play as some new characters. But the old characters need to appear too.
Personally Id like Clem to stay... she made this game and not shooting scenes. We have enough shooter games
However, regardless of which route Telltale goes I think Clem's story needs to be resolved. Having her disappear entirely from the universe after a cliffhanger, would be more than a little disappointing. Players want to know that Lee saved Clem, not that she got eaten by walkers or met some horrible fate at the hands of bandits shortly afterwards.
If we are playing as a member of a completely new group, at some point in the story we need to come across Clem, and Omid and Christa, and see that they are still surviving.
We need to see how Clem's story ends in Season 2,then they can move on to another group of survivors if they will do more Seasons.
From your post, the only thing i can see is that you should go play shooter survival games like Resident Evil...it's like you don't like half of the game,in that case...the game is just not for you...
I play TWD the way i want dude, and i like the game (which automaticly means that the game is for me)...but if you don't like the game, then it isn't for you...it's simple as that...
if i want to play as cold-hearted killer and i like it (the game is for me) if i want to be father figure for clementine and i like it (the game is for me)....
All of the episodes did have some kind of focus on Clementine...you always had to protect her,it's the whole point of the game (along with survival ofc),if you don't like Clementine, then tbh...you won't like the whole game as much. This game is not for everybody...and there is more games out there with only survival and killing, where you don't need to care about a little girl
Chill, this was uncalled for. If you can't discuss in respectful way,you shouldn't be on these forums
I hope puzzles aren't their top priority.
The combat sequences in 4 and 5 were shining moments of awesome.
Of course, technically, clearing the motor inn during episode 1 was..... kind of like a puzzle. I could handle more events like that.
This is about the smartest thing I've had pass through my brain thus far.
I'd like more of the scenes like episode 5, but they shouldn't have too many of them. For the first time you're directly told that your ammunition is limited, and you really feel that you don't have a lot of defenses against the walkers. Too many scenes where you gun down hordes of them would make them seem like much less of a threat, and that would detract from the experience(imo).
I think that could work.
Exploring the stories of an entirely new group of survivor's might even be a better way to go than following Omid and Christa and Clem.
But either way, we need some resolution with Clem. The game ended with a bit of a cliffhanger regarding her fate, and it shouldn't be left at that. If we follow an entirely new cast of characters, we need to come across Clem at some point and see that she is still surviving.
its fun to see what people think about the game before its even developed, and see what they think of it.
