The lenght is very disappointing, but in my opinion there happened many things.
Revelations, new characters, fight scene, again where to go first choice..
What else you wanted??
People complained about missing action scenes and where to go choices, well we got an epic Action scene at the end of episode 3 and where to go choice in that exact same episode and also in this too.
Do you want same kinda scenes in every fucking episode? Do you want Bigby to throw someone out of window in every episode because it was so awesome?? Episode 4 was more calm and I'm fine with it.
Like I said, episode 4 is a pretty damn good set up for episode 5.
I was defending telltale, but enough is enough.
This episode is a huge disappointment, nothing interesting happened, and it's VERY sh… moreort.
1 hour and 10 minutes. What the hell telltale? i can somehow stand short time if episode is good and interesting, but it was fucking boring.
Get your shit together and stop rushing TWAU and TWD episodes. Tales-from-the-no-one-cares-about-land can wait.
While everyone was hyped for the episode, I was actually disappointed in its release date because if most people weren't brain-dead oblivious to the TWAU release dates, then they would know the longer TellTale takes, the better chance for a long and great episode. I personally hope episode 5 takes 3 months or longer because of this.
And looking at everything else, people got hyped up to see the characters in the game, therefore rushing through the game. Now that no one has a reason to rush through everything, maybe everyone can get back to enjoying the game and stop complaining about the length of the episodes.
Except for TWAU ep2? Which was a letdown too and took like 3 months or more? Stil have to playthis one for myself tomorrow, the reception so far has not been very encouraging.

The files didn't "leak" someone found them within the game folder (with the intention to spoil for themselves and possibly others) so it's not telltale's fault.
People are allowed to see the files if they want, it's honestly your fault if you clicked something that said "Leaked character models for episode four and five".
As far as i'm aware, the files were never out to surprise anyone, really, they were just put up for those of which who wanted to see them and knew what they were getting into.
True but, first of all, leaving the files to be leaked was indeed their fault (there have been Telltale model's extractors out for a long ti… moreme), and since they knew important models leaked they shouldn't have saved "you know who's" image expecting for it to make a big impression, specially for an episode ending... and such a weak episode to make it worse.
Except for TWAU ep2? Which was a letdown too and took like 3 months or more? Stil have to playthis one for myself tomorrow, the reception so far has not been very encouraging.
I enjoyed this episode, even though it had it's share of problems. I wish it was longer, especially that some conversations felt like they could have been made much shorter and nothing would have been lost. I also wish choices I've made in previous episodes had bigger impact. Still, it was fun to play. I actually really liked action scene (maybe because I haven't spoiled myself and was genuinely surprised by whom I was fighting), I liked Bigbies attitude, and I liked the ending - it was nice build-up for season (and probably series) finale. It definetly felt like it was rushed a little, and it was arguably weakest episode so far - but it was still better then 95% games out there, and I do not regret buying it.
I disagree that it was the lack of action the reason people didn't enjoyed ep4 as much. To me it was the lack of strong emotional moments, tension, shock, surprise, mystery etc. that made it such let down.
I still kind of enjoyed it but Jesus Telltale really needs to step it up. I honestly don't care about Borderlands at all because I never liked the games and Game of Thrones could easily wait until next year. So rushing The Wolf Among Us (which started out as an amazing noir with twists and turns) and The Walking Dead (which was in my top five favorite games) really isn't cool with me. They need to slow down. If they rush things, people will start to stop buying their product. I think it's wrong that all they care about now is Tales of the Borderlands and Game of Thrones. The Walking Dead has a huge fanbase and The Wolf Among Us has a largely growing one. All and all I'm disappointed with Telltale. Episode Three of The Walking Dead worried me and this episode REALLY worried me. Please don't mess up Telltale.
Well, obviously! Most of us probably liked it at least a bit. But that's not the point! Did you like it more or less than other episodes? I actually liked it the least, when I expected the two very last episodes of TWAU to top all the previous ones with the drama being at its highest. Now, I understand that the last episode ended on an extremely high note and was freaking awesome, but this one was never about topping it. In fact, I would have probably been decently happy, had the ending been less sloppy! I'd honestly rather wait for one or two more weeks than play a game with a sloppy ending.
This episode was a letdown... And I'm not angry at TTG, I'm just sad, because they usually always match my expectations.
Hopefully, there's still one more episode. Fingers crossed that they make up for it for the finale!
Off-topic, but not disappointed at all with any of TWD episodes so far, though.
I sort of feel like I'm going to be let down already from what everybody has been saying, hah.
It could be because they did rush it. Just when everyone was playing TWDG episode 3, TWAU episode 4 was coming out shortly.
People wanted them sooner, but that means they have less time to work with. Do we want it sooner with less gameplay or later with more going on?
I don't understand the hatred for Episode 4 (or Telltale games for that matter). Before you cast judgement, take a step back. First, Telltale is an independent game studio, they don't have the resources or the budget of "top tier" game studios, like EA. This causes the game designers to have to limit certain things - such as running time - or push back the release date. Secondly, the game only cost $25 and my playtime so far is a little over 7 hours, probably be around 9 hour when episode 5 comes out. For the cost of $25 I have spent 9-10 hours on one play-though, whereas at a movie theater, $25 will get me two tickets with no snacks for a 2 hour movie. If that is not a "bang for your buck" I don't know what is. Finally, this episode was slower than others, but all good stories need to build to a climax - and this episode delivered on that note. If all you want is constant chaos and adrenaline, narrative stories are just not your thing - so go play the newest FPS.
I don't agree. Just like every episode it has weaker and stronger points, but in contrast to new TWD, Wolf is still interesting. Series is coming to end, they are trying to close some threads, it's beginning of the great (I hope) finale. What CM wants, why are those people working for him, why (and who) did they kill Faith and Lily - give me good answers TTG.
1 hour and 10 minutes it took to finish ep4. I am extremely pissed off. What a waste of time and money paying out for this.
It's such a shame because I loved season 1 of the walking dead and as each episode of season 2 and of course TWAU, it's like TTG don't even care! Rushing episodes, hardly any gameplay. I also don't recall any previous choices that occurred in other episodes.
I think we all expected emotional content and an intriguing development of the story, not "constant chaos and adrenaline" as you said, and Telltale failed to deliver it at least for most of the players.
None of us are here to pay respects for a poor developer. We know they don't have big budgets and as many resources as other developers (that's why we can overlook slow ass loading times and running issues even with poor graphics) but so far they had been surprising us with quality content, interesting stories and moving characters.. it's only natural that we get mad when they show a drop in both quality and quantity.

I liked episode 4. Yeah it was a tad short but at least TTG are on a 2 month or so release schedule now which I appreciate and I can deal with 20 minutes less gameplay if I don't have to wait 6 months for it. It set up the next episode just fine and wasn't that lacking in anything when you consider it's shorter length. It was pretty proportional to the other episodes. I got into the story and enjoyed it which is what matters. I think it's pretty obvious that by now most of the characters have been introduced.
Also, who else thought that "It's done when it's done", as said by the doctor in the beginning, is a reference to the game itself and the community?
Slow load times? It takes like 3 seconds for me. And the graphics aren't poor, they're actually nicely stylised, TWD and TWAU are based on comics, so the graphics are styled in that way.

Dude! It was good episode. The investigation continues. It wasn't boring. You won't get Bigby flying through the window every time. I'm sure in ep. 5 we'll see more action. Don't call it complete thrash. It's unfair.

the anger of episode 4 sure is showing it only has 6.6 on metacritic with users, it usually has like 8.4.
INFACT giving it a low score cou… moreld create public pressure so episode 5 is better, heres the link if you want to rate it : http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/the-wolf-among-us-episode-4---in-sheeps-clothing/user-reviews
I think people are just let down. I've literally seen nothing but anger towards this episode and anger to people who said it was alright. I am a PSN user and since it hasnt come out yet I have no right to say anything. All I've seen was "it's too short!". Maybe because less action?

i have not played it yet myself and im waiting for my ps3 release later...sooo saying something isnt good because thiers no action is a dumb excuse imo
It wasn't trash but... Well, If I have to give a vote to this episode it would be a 6 or 6.5. If this episode didn't exist no one would ever notice. We didn't discovered anything REALLY helpful.
I've only played through it once, but I got a pretty satisfying action sequence in my playthrough. Even my husband stopped what he was doing to watch. That's how much we both liked the scene. Yes, the episode did feel a tad short, but I still liked it. I think the conversations were interesting, I think we had some developments in the case. Dialog in TWAU sadly has been going downhill. Only ep1's writing felt actually polished.

We'd like TWD and TWAU to be good! We should make a petition or smthn..

Every episode of TWAU has 6 "parts":D
And every episode takes 1 and a half hour at least for "full walkthrough".
So, I guess it's fine.

EDIT: Fuck, didn't mean to double post.
Too short. Seems like they get shorter each episode. Other than that I enjoyed it! Although the ending was too abrupt.
Maybe if you wouldn't stare at your watch during gameplay you'd enjoy it more.
Off topic but. My Quarian sister.
Quarian sis!!
People like you are what's wrong with Metacritic.
What should be used as a venue to rate games has turned into a place to exact some kind of revenge.

Got a one problem though:(
Missing 1 fable in "book of fables";(
It's after "Donkeyskin coat". How can I unlock that? Heeeelp.
Eh. I didn't, just felt short. All of a sudden it was over. And then I have to check the actual game length to make sure it wasn't just in my mind.
This episode was the shortest one yet, and you could tell when playing it.

I'm sure no one thinks it's a complete trash, it's just the lenght and rushing telltale.
People are expressing their disappointment and Frustration at telltale by over criticizing the episode.
