The farm isn't a concentration camp, it's a huge, isolated forest area with its own town far away from the big cities where non-human looking Fables can live comfortably with each other without risk of being seen by mundies. The rule that everyone who can't afford to look human are sent there isn't for fun and giggles, it's to avoid exposure. What do you think will happen the day a pack of mundy children spot Toad Jr. in the pond without his glamour, and hear him talk when they try to catch the big mutant frog to dissect it or show it to their parents? What do you think will happen to everyone, Bigby, Snow, Bufkin, when Animal Control hears of a pig being kept in an apartment bulding and comes to check it out?
As long as nobody gets hurt it's pretty certain that Snow can suppress it, but every little incident draws attention to Fabletown, and as soon as enough people's interests are piqued, it's only a matter of time before the newspapers realize that four apartment blocks in central New York have belonged to the same people for the past 400 years, and from there it's only two steps away from open war between Fabletown and the mundies, because it seemed oppressive to force a few people to relocate when they were a huge danger to the community.
1.) I don't get how people can send Colin away, he's a bro and one of the few characters that's not always on Bigby's case all the time. He … moredid nothing to deserve being sent away.
2.) Toad can be a dick sometimes but he's a good guy at the end of the day. There's really no need to mess with his life.
1 & 2.) The whole forcing fables away against their will because they look different is pretty questionable to me. Yes, it's a rule in place to "protect" Fabletown but who said it was the right way to manage things? I dunno, it just seems a bit oppressive that if a fable looks different and doesn't have enough cash they'll be sent away. I don't think it's the right way to do things.
3.) Personally I wanted to talk, there are a lot of unanswered questions and guys who wanted to kick my ass in that room. I'd rather find out a few things than jump straight to violence.
I regret now not taking the money in Cranes jacket, i thought the Butcher will be dissapointed. I told Colin i wont send him to the Farm. I gave hope to Toad even if Snow seemed angry about it.
Why did you kill Dum when it's Dee that gives you shit, and Dum is a bit kinder. You know that Toad Jr. can get killed if they stay at the a… morepartment and Crane saw Toad tell you about the Tweedles, right? Toad will get over with being at the Farm, but wouldn't get over losing his only son, and he didn't have a son in his original story.
I promised Colin the 1st time not to send him away. I couldn't do it this time. Yes, people obviously knew I had Colin but he's not doing any harm; take good care of your friends; that is what Nerissa told me. Colin stuck with me, even after everything. Toad is a dick; I couldn't stand him the first time we met but I felt bad for TJ, so I pretty much gave him one more chance. If in ep. 5 he STILL doesn't have a glamour, I have no choice. As far as the CM, I smoked a cigarette and left it from there. Trying to avoid violence until its necessary.
Who did you arrest? Because from your words it seems like you arrested Woody, or you didn't beat up Dee. If you burned, smashed, and beat Dee Toad says "I would have slapped Dee, after what he put me through". Dee abused TJ while Dum was ransacking Woody's place.
Following that reasoning, Colin is looking for trouble every time he sneaks off The Farm.
Have you considered that the rate for glamours jumped up again the following day? Just because he said he would doesn't prevent unforeseen circumstances from getting in the way. Between episode 2 and 3 he might have managed to get a glamour that lasted just for the interval between the times we saw him, and just in case good glamours last longer, he probably made due with a cheap one that failed early. Maybe he called the business office and kept having to wait. Perhaps, since Snow wasn't openly frustrated with Toad being at the office, there could easily be a contrived reason for how Toad was able to get to the business office without being seen, and a satisfying one for Snow. Even if there isn't, I had the money and I gave it to him, any and all arguments against me doing so be damned.
Colin ain't looking for trouble, at this point at least. Toad on the other hand is looking for trouble. Do you even remember what he said in… more episode 1? He said he was gonna get the glamour immediately in the morning, it's been almost a week. He was twisting his way to prevent Bigby from helping him. He ain't supposed to be walking around New York in the day, him walking around in the day is dangerous for the entire community.
I wanted Colin and Toad to stick with me (I gave Toad, Crane's money). I was surpsied to see a lot of people sent them to the farm.
But I didn't thretean the Crooked Man, I agreed to have a discussion.
I decided that since Bigby is the Sheriff, he needs to enforce the laws regardless of how he feels about them. So I told Colin he should go to the farms and the same for Toad.
I backed up Colin as well, it felt like one of the only scenes where someone genuinely showed trust in Bigby. And with everyone making the farm sound like a prison, it seemed arbitrary to complain about him not being sent there in the face of everything else that's going on.
Didn't feel the need to threaten the Crooked Man though. He already knew that Bigby was coming and what he's capable of, what I need are some answers before things inevitably end in violence.
I had to give toad money I felt bad for the guy and his kid. and im glad I gave him the money that little skip/jump in the air he did after he got it made me laugh so hard and him just whistling as he leaves xD
The rates don't jump up in a day. The glamours from the 13th floor last 2000 yrs. The ones made by Greenleaf last as long as the tube doesn't form a deer. The glamours are sold on the 13th floor, he could just go up there. There is no way except driving to the Woodlands to not be seen. You failed to make a logical argument just like Toad failed to convince nothing happened at his apartment in episode 1. The next episode will solve any misinterpretations. I wouldn't be surprised if Telltale decides that one of the Toads die if you didn't send them to the Farm.

yeah i told snow i would but then i told colin "hell no, im not doing tht ur my friend", i gave toad the money too. but now tht i think about it nerissa was saying how we should take care of our friends, im not sure if tht means keep them close (so keeping them from the farm is a good thing) or keep them away cuz shits bout to hit the fan around here and its better if they were away (we should have sent them to the farm)
I didn't actively defend Colin to Snow, but I didn't send him off, either. I was wishy-washy and Colin stayed. I had no money to give Toad because I didn't take it from Crane's coat: even if Johan the butcher hadn't been watching (and he was) it's still a criminal act.
I think I would have sent Toad to the farm anyway. Am I the only one who thinks he's a pain in the ass? Trying to sell stuff that doesn't belong to him! Complaining about his car when he shouldn't even have one. The glamour law is for HIS protection!
And I felt that Snow needed some moral support. I don't think she's bitchy -- I think she's frightened.
Don't understand why I'm in the minority when it comes to actively trying to remove the ribbon from Nerissa's neck (actions speak louder than words!) and in lighting the cigarette.
I died about three times in the fight with Jersey, though, for the simple reason that I did not want to fight him! Caution got me killed!
SO MANY people seem to have taken the money! Bad, bad people!!! (on the other hand I killed Dum, so I'm bad, too... surprised that there weren't more in the way of consequences fort that action...)

I also mainly wanted to keep Colin because he's a good friend and worried about me when Dr. Swineheart was in the apartment. Plus I didn't want to send Toad off, I could tell he was making an effort and I don't want Toad Jr to lose his father.
I noticed this too, but on my second playthrough I found out that you have to have gone to the Lucky Pawn first and talked to him about his glamour there for the option to come up.

I have a feeling it's a mix. Colin is always at your apartment so he would be able to save you, and vice-versa. He didn't fail anything. He straight up told you he doesn't care about the glamour rule. So why are you going around whining about peoples choices? Don't worry about it.

Crane's money were embezzled from Fabletown funds. You're well within your rights to confiscate them, and you really did break Toad's wall and car without paying any sort of insurance. And Dum tried to kill you first, in addition to assaulting you, interfering with the investigation, firing on Holly and Gren and trying to kidnap a suspect. After the fourth episode, you can even argue treason, and Fabletown law includes capital punishment, which it's your duty as the Sheriff to carry out if there's no viable way to take the individual into custody. Also, letting Colin walk around in the middle of New York is making an exception to a vital ground rule simply because he's your friend. What about all the other fables on the farm? How are they supposed to accept that?
Also, I don't know where you're from, but suddenly trying to pull intimate clothing off a woman in the middle of conversation without warning or permission is generally thought of as rude. Especially if it's liable to kill the woman. "Actions speak louder than words." is only valid when you're trying to make an impression, NEVER when handling delicate things you don't know anything about.
SO MANY people seem to have taken the money! Bad, bad people!!! (on the other hand I killed Dum, so I'm bad, too... surprised that there weren't more in the way of consequences fort that action...)
I don't like repeating my comments from other threads. I have 2 reasonings, and one of them is to protect Toad's family from Bloody Mary. If Crane looked at the magic mirror to see where you were with Snow and overheard Toad telling you about the Tweedles, Bloody Mary would get that info out of Crane within 9 hrs of torture. You can guess the rest.
He didn't fail anything. He straight up told you he doesn't care about the glamour rule. So why are you going around whining about peoples choices? Don't worry about it.
I manage to chose everything that was opposite to most of the players. I too dont understand why people chose Snow over Colin (maybe they ju… morest wana be on her good side ). I really like Colin and wanted to spend more time him (if you read the comic you'll understand).
Obviously he isn't gonna rat out his brother. Replaying the game shows that they split up, explaining how they can be in two places at once. (Toad's and Faith's)
BUT -- the butcher doesn't know the money was embezzled and taking it right in front of him is a bad example to set. Crane's money is still evidence and not something that you can just remove from the scene and do whatever the heck you want to with it. And killing someone on the scene is never the right thing to do or the right way to handle a situation. I got caught up in the heat of the moment! ... tried to be nicer this time and just got myself killed. :-( I know that letting Colin stay was the wrong thing to do, which is why I was so wishy-washy over it, basically agreeing with Snow and then telling Colin another thing.
The thing I like about these games is the moral tightrope they force you to walk (especially true in the first WALKING DEAD) and the fact that sometimes you can do No Right.

He wouldn't rat out his brother nor incriminate himself which taking the fall is. They are never at 2 places at one time. He said that they split up after seeing you. Dum went upstairs while Dee went downstairs, Dum is the driver so he waited in a car till Dee returns. Not finding what they want and depending on your choices Dee could also be shot towards. It's puzzling to say the least.

I let Colin stay simply because he has hurt no one and hasn't betrayed me. And I actually like him.
Toad lied to me and I think he's just a straight deuche.
And I decided to talk to him at the end
What the butcher knows and doesn't know is irrelevant, you're not required to pander to criminals, and Bigby has no problem pocketing the mirror shard and the photo of Snow even though those are evidence too.
It doesn't seem like you're really getting into the spirit of the setting. Almost every Fable in Fabletown was brought up in a medieval world with medieval ideas about right and wrong, and even then Bigby was raised as an animal. Your lofty post-modern philosophy isn't really compatible with that. Fabletown is a brutal place, and Bigby has to be brutal on occasion, not "it was the heat of the moment!" brutal but "stop yammering, it had to be done" brutal to function as sheriff.
If you try to immerse yourself a little more and think about how Bigby would react to events with a realistic template in mind instead of your own gut feelings of wanting to be a "good guy", you might have a more interesting time of figuring out what to do in any given situation.

I didn't send Colin or Toad to the farm, surprised to hear so many did, it was higher when I played. I'm not going to send those Fables away… more just because Fabletown has failed to help them! About the Crooked Man, threatening seemed kind of pointless. Went with smoking.
I was honestly surprised that is was the minority of people who decided to help Colin, he was Bigby's friend, and he was helping him. Same w… moreith Toad, I helped him, and thought that surely the majority would as well. If anything, I expected that more people would have helped Colin over Toad...
As for the end.... Lighting the cigarette is just so much more badass than threatening him.
Uhhhmmmmm, last I heard there was no right or wrong way to play the game. And that's what makes it interesting, and what makes reading these forums about the choices people make interesting, too. My Bigby wants to be a good guy, as much as possible. That doesn't mean I[m playing the game wrong. (It does mean I get killed from time to time).

I thanked Colin for his loyalty and told both him and Snow that I wouldn't send him to the farm. It isn't even on my list of priorities right now and Colin is a good friend.
I took Crane's money but for some reason it wouldn't let me give it to Toad. I didn't send him to the farm because I want to keep the community together as much as possible and I don't see the point in punishing people for not being able to afford to follow the law.
I lit a cigarette because it was a more subtle 'fuck you' than a straight up 'fuck you'.
You're not supposed to get killed. There are the creative ways, and the centralized way. The centralized way is the comic way, and it takes some time to get it right. I go for the comic Bigby.

I realise that Snow White is in charge (for now), but her actions in the previous episodes undermined my own, and in some instances she even agrees that you (the player) was right.
I let Colin stay with me, because I assumed he would be strictly staying with Bigby in his apartment.
I gave Toad the money for his glamour because I feel Snow White is trying to set an unfair example on the wrong Fable's, and Toad's situation simply a lack of funding - he was also told that he should go to the farm if he can't afford it next time.
I didn't threaten the Crooked Man because I feel you would get more out of him by acting civil.

It's puzzling to say the least.
There are no mirrors at the Farm and won't be for 20 years.
The option I chose was that he could come back.
If you try to immerse yourself a little more and think about how Bigby would react to events with a realistic template in mind instead of your own gut feelings of wanting to be a "good guy", you might have a more interesting time of figuring out what to do in any given situation.
me too, wonder why majority went with just the boring talking and sitting option...idiots
i guess magority hate toad and colin for being animals? Or being stuck up's for snow
I kept Colin with me
I helped Toad
I told Beauty and Beast to fuck off
I lit a cigarette just to show the CM that I don't give a fuck
