Do Kenny and Sarita know what Nick did?
Matthew wasn't just Walter's boyfriend, he was also very close to Kenny and Sarita, so I have trouble believing they wouldn't care what happened to their friend. They've probably been wondering about him this whole time. I was expecting this to be a big thing in episode 3, honestly, if you saved Nick, but it wasn't. Would've been nice, considering how Nick barely had a presence to begin with. But right now I can't tell if it's something Telltale is expecting us to believe was already addressed at some point, OR if the two of them are still none-the-wiser and believe Matthew is still alive and out there. The latter makes more sense, given the character interactions--I think we can all agree Kenny would probably want to throttle him.
Do you guys think we'll see it be addressed? Or has Nick's determinant status killed any chance at that at this point, and Kenny and Sarita will never know what happened to Matthew?

I think they'll hear about it in the end, maybe Kenny'll go mad and want him dead like he did when Ben confessed about him causing Duck and Kattja's deaths, that'll also sort the "determinant" status as he may kill him..
they will probably bring it up.
I CANT FRIKEN WAIT !
I don't think they'll bring it up, example of bad writing
I feel like discussions between the characters that haven't been dealt with in ep. 3 such as this will most likely (and hopefully) be dealt with in the next episode but they don't have to discuss every single problem that goes on. Nick telling Kenny and Sarita however seems like a discussion that should be dealt with (maybe ep.4).
There's also been a lot of discussions on addressing matters such as this one (by which I mean discussions which should have been dealt with in ep.3 but were held off for a reason or another) like "Why didn't Luke act differently if Nick was killed off?" Or "why didn't they talk about Nick's mom at the camp?" My answer is Maybe they'll bring it up or maybe they won't.
Maybe, unlike Ben, Nick realizes that right now would be an inappropriate time to bring the subject up.
What with it being so recent and all.
Nick, to me, seems to have way better social knowledge and skills than Ben did.
From what I've seen so far, he seems know when is a good time to speak, and a good time to keep a lid on it.
That's something it seems that a lot of people could use more experience/savvy in.
He'll probably come out in later episodes, and say what happened.
When everyone is calm down, and things are safer, Nick will probably admit to what happened, with Luke and Clementine's support.
Right now Nick knows there's a lot at stake!
To much to risk jeopardizing, cause he may have a guilty conscience.
Granted Nick was willing to take the risk and admit to Walt what happened, which in itself was good on Nick's part, as it showed he has a conscience.
And after Walt inadvertently discovered Matthew's knife in among Clementine's possessions, Nick had to say something, as he was basically confronted with it.
And it would've been a very bad idea for Nick to avoid the issue at that point, as it would look like Nick had something to hide.
And in some respects, it might have been good that it happened sooner rather than later.
As Walt understandably may've been very upset to learn that everyone else knew what Nick had done, and that he'd been giving them aid and shelter.
In other words, Walt may have felt very taken-advantaged-of.
I know I would!
I'll give you a thumbs up. Maybe they'll bring it up, but I doubt it. Walter is dead, Nick is determinant, and a lot of plot points seem to have been dropped. I'm skeptical.
But when is it going to be a good time, you know? I agree that Nick is a lot more aware of when is and isn't the right time to talk but he's also the type that seems to let things weigh easily on his conscience. I'm surprised he never even mentioned privately to Clem when he talked to her something like, "I overheard Sarita and Kenny talking about Matthew, I feel terrible." It's like it never happened.
I just really want to see some closure to that subplot because it's not over.
At least Walter forgave him and Clem saw it, if Kenny goes mad she will tell Ken what happened and ill side with Nick even if Kenny dislike it, im a Kenny fan but i wouldn't let Nick get killed/kicked or anything, he was honest and told Walter the truth.
In all the commotion, I'd forgotten that Matthew was friends with Sarita and Kenny. I don't think Kenny's the kind of guy who would kill Nick outright, but he'd leave him for dead if the opportunity presented itself.
I agree there's probably never going to be good time.
However there are gonna be ones that are better then others.
Right now, the whole group just barely escaped Carver's grasp, and with a pregnant woman to care for while on the run, this is definitely not the right time to have that discussion.
And if that is a dialogue option for Clementine to Nick in the next episode, that the one I'm gonna pick.
Once the group has found a place that's relatively secure, like the cabin or the ski lodge, that would be a better time to discuss the matter.
As then the stress of being out in the open, with a woman that could go into labor at any moment due to all the moving about, will have subsided.
Once everyone has had a chance to relax and get some rest, that would be more of an appropriate time to bring the matter up.
Everyone should theoretically be in a better mood, and thus should be able to react more calmly to the information.
And judging by what I've seen so far, Nick seems smart enough to know that.
Though Kenny and me are pals, I'd protect Nick from him in that situation.
Just like protected Ben as Lee.
Exactly, Ken is mah bro and he looks awesome in his pirate form, but i wouldn't let him do something to Nick x3.
If Nick is alive, then that means Walter forgave him(that's how Nick survives EP.2), we can use that to convince Kenny that he should take after Walter's example and forgive as well.
At this point i don't think it will matter. Kenny will be looking at Sarita and saying, where is your arm. Know what i mean earl?
I'm reasonably sure that at least Kenny knows Matthew was killed by Nick. At the end of the Bonnie scene Kenny says, "Go on, Walter and I need to have a talk ....". Then by the time Luke sends Clem for the knife, Walter is already outside with it without ever coming back into the lobby.
I don't think there is going to be any confrontation, maybe just a sharp accusation that lets Nick know that Kenny is aware of what he did. You can tell that Kenny really didn't like Nick at first, but by the end of episode 3 they seem to be growing onto each other in some kind friendship where they always give each other shit.
Exactly.
Kenny is a good guy, but it doesn't make him right all the time.
Nick doesn't deserve to get beaten up for his killing Mathew, after all he didn't know who Mathew was or that he was a good guy.
Pretty sure kenny knows, that's why he needed to talk to walter and told clementine to leave. Kenny probably told him and gave him the knife as evidence since it was gone. Does it really hurt to think?
Actually that makes sense.
Nah im convinced it will not be brought up especially if Nick died in ep2. Nick was nothing more than an extra in a film in ep3, i don't wish to be negative but like someone here said, it's bad writing! If Nick died in Ep2, when we see Luke, he doesn't utter a single word about him like where is he or what happened and weren't they both supposed to be close? I was very disapppinted.
Another reason im sure the whole Nick/Matthew thing won't be brought up is because we know TTG seem to prefer rushing episodes these days, they won't have time to have a scene like that unless it involved Nick's death in some way (but not Kenny killing him). If ep4 is as short as ep4 of TWAU (took me an hour and 10 mins) then as much as i love the games TTG make, i don't think i'll be wasting my money again
Meh. Of all the plot points that could be reanimated in the last two episodes, this is very near the bottom of my list. Kenny and Sarita only knew Matthew for a few weeks, and I knew him for even less. I don't really care about it that much anymore.
