As everyone wants this to happen it wouldnt make any sense that lee is alive. But what they could make is clem go back to savannah for some reason and see him dead or zombiefied.

I can see what he's getting at in terms of art direction and creativity. In some ways, you can sort of feel the staleness in season two of TWD. But TWAU is weaker than both seasons of TWD in IMO. If i may be blunt, i thought episodes 2 and 3 of TWAU just flat out sucked. I cant say that about any of TWD games, so far.

Lee had a big role to play in season 1 and he did a great job, but now it´s time for Clementine to shine. The story needs to go on without Lee. It would also be very boring and unrealistic if Lee showed up alive.
