I can see what he's getting at in terms of art direction and creativity. In some ways, you can sort of feel the staleness in season two of T… moreWD. But TWAU is weaker than both seasons of TWD in IMO. If i may be blunt, i thought episodes 2 and 3 of TWAU just flat out sucked. I cant say that about any of TWD games, so far.

All I want before the season is finished is a bonding scene between them. They could be on patrol/watch or doing a supply run together and Clementine could finally start asking some questions about who he is and what his past was like. I also would love for her to continue talking a bit about Lee with him and the group from S1. Some of the dialogue options when you first tell Luke about him hint at Clem's inner guilt. She feels guilty about needing to be protected and/or what she feels like was getting him killed in the end. I think Luke recognized that bit of the conversation from the sad looks he was giving her while listening. He was probably thinking, "kid's only eleven and she's already been through a lot".
Can you even imagine his reaction if she were to say even half the crap she's been through? Don't even remind me of the Dairy Farm and the meat locker.
If we're right about Luke's character (him not being comfortable with killing people because of his ideals and morals), he and Clem seem to be going down the same path development wise. This world and the decisions she has to make is hardening her and we're going to eventually see Luke doing things he doesn't want to (maybe killing a friend? or a human in general?). Luke and his optimism with a hint of caution reminds me of like a light, y'know? Someone who still holds out for hope for himself and his loved ones. While that's why I think he is an important person to have around, I think we'll see him struggling to keep that alive and going.
I'm trying not to convince myself that Luke will survive this season. I don't think many will but it would be a good decision on TTG's part if they were to build a core group to focus on if we continue with Clem as the playable character. Clem, Luke, Rebecca's baby, and a couple others...
You think once Nick goes we'll finally get a reaction from Luke? I was disappointed when I learned that Luke doesn't even acknowledge Nick's death if Walter shoots him. That's why I think the writers thought that most people would save Nick. Luke would have to say something eventually if he and Nick are as close as they say they are.
Yeah, I agree too. We all ship the BROtp. I just love how they interact with each other, even though the world is going to shit, Clem has PL… moreENTY of time to call Luke an idiot. And he eats it up, cause after the incident on the bridge, I BET he still feels guilty about the shed.

I AGREE. I want us to get to explore Clementine's head about the season one experience, and Luke is the only guy who allowed for that. I want to talk to him, and I want Clem to express some FEELINGS. She's 11, and a badass, but she's human. I want that inner guilt to be explored, and because Luke has an interest in her past, we need him to discuss it with her.
Remember moving the desk in the drug store in 101? Let's just have a scene, the exact same, with Luke. We learned so much about Lee and Clem then, it could work again. I doubt we'll get a chance to talk about our past, but I'm sure Luke will drop some more about his!
If Luke were to survive (I know you're there, Telltale, make it happen) I think it would be cool to have next season focus on that. Maybe Luke takes charge of the Wellington camp, and he's forced to make decisions against his morals. Or maybe we see him go through emotional crap. Either way, it'd be cool to watch Luke become more hardened. Or even see him in a weak position, 203 wasn't weak enough for me, he was still in control, I'm talking emotional breakdown. Just a TURNING point for him, y'know?
That is cheap ass writing on Telltale's part. You go through all the effort of making Luke and Nick besties, and when Luke doesn't see him amongst the group, we get NO reaction? Dude, it would have taken three lines, minimal;
Luke: 'Hey. where's Nick?!'
Clem: 'He didn't make it/ Walter let him die/ There was nothing I could do/ ...'
Luke: 'Oh... OH GOD. Oh shit!'

You know guys and gals, the thought has indeed struck me that TTG likes to "leak" news when a release dtae thread has circa 150 pages, then release it once it gets over 200... Totally ridiculous? Maybe, maybe yes times squared infinity. Gonna need that towel....

Ahhhhh. The endless possibilities!! I hope Luke will share memories of what he was like in the beginnings of the apocalypse. Who was he with originally? What was that breakaway from Carver's camp like? Was there a specific moment where he was like, "we're all going to die if we stay here with this guy"? I want to know all the Luke things~
I hope the former is correct! I'll have to check the date it was posted on and compare it to the release of the episode. I really don't even know how to feel about the ambiguity of everyone's fates in the game. In most games/shows/movies you know who's going to die or survive so it's always predictable. TellTale, on the other hand, leaves everything up in the air and you know they wouldn't hesitate to kill off a fan favourite. So it's bittersweet: nice that we can't predict everything and sad because that could mean a high chance of Luke getting killed by the end of the season. This keeps up at night, I swear.

That sounds adorable! I really live for those kinds of moments. The sweet kind where there's humor to it with a twinge of reminiscence -- where people get to crack a couple jokes here and there. Maybe Luke saying one at Nick's expense in front of Clem, getting the finger from Nick in response. Nick could join in from there, hitting back at Luke in attempts of making Clem laugh at him instead with some type of story where Luke's attempts of getting the attention of a cute girl just... did not go the way he hoped. It all ending with them acting like boys, wrestling and slapping each other around a bit. THEY'RE STILL YOUNG AND THE ZA HAS DEPRIVED OF THEM OF BEING ABLE TO ACT LIKE SUCH.
