I don't think Kenny will shave his beard until he finds peace. Which he won't. It's a violent, rugged, existence, and he has changed to embrace it I think the beard is a manifestation of that.
I'd have to say moustache since it was,after all,the original definition of Kenny. (Also, I was quite pissed at TTG because since the release of 400 Days I hadn't shaved, promising myself to shave once S2e1 released but keep the 'stache in honour of Kenny ~I thought he had "passed on"~. Then episode 2. BAM Kenny with a beard....)
