All of these Interactive Fanfics.

Sure it's fun and I've entered myself into one or two, but everyone seems to be doing it now! I'm not saying stop because I love following the awesome story lines that people come up with, but right now I'm getting tired of looking down the forum and seeing:
- Fanfic
- Interactive Fanfic
- Another Fanfic

Please do not think I don't like reading them, because I do. Just calm 'em down a bit so other topics that aren't interactive stories can get some attention?

Haha, sorry to rant guys but I get easily annoyed about little things :P

  • Tbh, even I'm becoming a bit exasperated, and I'm the writer of one of them :P

I've been trying to update mine only once or twice a day, though, so I don't swamp the board. It is a little funny to look down the list and see every other thread be an interactive fanfic :P Oops.

  • Mine's been around since February, so just so everyone knows, I'm not part of this recent surge in fanfics.

  • Most of them are a great read and fun to follow, but the forum is completely overcrowded with them!

I guess us Walking Dead fans are overly creative! ;)

  • Didn't somebody just make a thread about this?

  • Yeah, I posted this and then saw (hidden within Fanfics) another thread... Haha

  • I definitely see your point, but I don't really mind them. I mean, there's not much to talk about right now other than topics that have been beaten to death. When the new ep comes, my opinion will probably have changed seeing as there will be more to talk about, and tbh most of the fanfics will probably be gone by then.

  • I think mine was one of the few that started the trend. Well, um..there is beginning to be a little too many but there isn't any rules forbidding it, so..well I guess, I don't know.

  • Yeah I agree most of the topics are used too often. I suppose they are decent ways to pass the time. :)

  • Yeah, I did mine after yours. But so I'm part of the recent surge. They should have a section just for fan fictions.

  • Are any mods reading this chat? This is a great idea that would be really cool to see happen!!

  • A fan-fic isn't a game by telltale. Its a user based thing. We are here to talk about the games not write Fan-fics that are not even about it. Maybe if all of the fan-fics were based off the game but I rarely find one that's like that.

  • I get way too addicted to all these fan-fics. I check hundreds of times a day when I'm in a fanfic compared to only once or twice a day.

  • I was writing fan-fics before it was cool!

It's too late, once it becomes a trend, no one will believe you were one of the people to get the ball rolling.

It seems that there were a few large ones that have been around for a while. My own, What Comes After(102 pages!) the continuation from S1 Fan-Fic(120 last time I saw it), and that continuation of that one, which was around 50 pages I think.

There were a few here and there that didn't last, but yeah, I think your formula of dialogue heavy, little detail, quick release chapters is what started this recent surge in fanfics everywhere. It may have started before then, but yours I think was the one that made it so now we see them literally everywhere.

No, it's too late! I've already become part of the hive mind.

You can just look at the date though, February, 22, well before this surge in fan-fics.

  • I'm always been pretty minimal on details, it's how I am, I guess.

  • I see where you're coming from and I'm writing one myself and I hate to admit but I do update it a lot so I'm putting mine on a schedule the probably won't interfere with other topics.

It's too late! I've already joined the hive mind. No matter how many facts you show me, the trend is just too strong.

  • Awkward moment when everyone starts making threads about how interactive fan fictions are crowding up.

  • Update it as much as you want! I was just saying people need to stop making so many new ones :)
